I know it's probably untrue, but I always get the feeling anime is produced by and for pedophiles.

His opinion is that the anime industry has been taken over by a generation of otaku creeps, who in turn make anime for other otaku creeps. The reason we see so much gross anime like lolicon and bizarrely sexist H-game adaptations about sexually assaulting women is because all the creeps who grew up with anime are now actually getting jobs in the industry and making their weirdo poo poo.

He may think that, but that link doesn't talk about that at all. He just says that since otaku don't ever go outside, they aren't able to use real life as a reference, which makes their animation worse. It's just about art, not the content itself.

Just want to say sorry about that last post. It was over the line. I should have linked the story instead of the actual video. Good news is they found the guy and the police have been swamped by 6000 calls according to reddit. They are trying to find the girl to make the charges stick. The reason I posted it in the first place was because the dude was a minor Twitch star and thought he could get away with it. I am glad this poo poo will follow him to the ends of the earth. Now I will shut up about it.

That article in general seems like one of the worst I've seen covering that same thing. There was one a while ago that had a really good interview with him, specifically going into detail about how a lot of modern anime artists don't draw from life, they learn to draw from anime. So the animations and art, aren't simplified and stylized things from life but an imitation of an imitation so it looks increasingly fake.

Vaping seems like it desperately wants the cool stigma that smoking used to have back in the day, but when it didn't happen naturally, they tried to force it and now it looks even lamer than it needs to. Like I said earlier, I discreetly use one since I stopped smoking (laugh I don't care, it's funny) and when I go into a shop to get some new coils or whatever it's just embarrassing. Those rubber band bracelets probably say something like "do you even vape bitch?" I've seen them in stores. They are always blasting rage against the machine and dubstep. Theres always some fat guy in JNCO's sitting at the counter trying to blow as much vapor as possible from his ridiculous car battery of a device and the place absolutely reeks from being hot boxed 24/7. Vape shops are the worst.

I hadn't realised vaping has become such a thing among the try hards. The only people I knew to vape are smokers trying to get off the fags. I suppose when it first hit the shops there was a few idiots trying to be cool by smoking in places where traditional smoking was banned and then saying how technically they aren't breaking the law. But that got shut down by those places simply adding their own rule that vaping is not allowed.

Tragically vaping has accrued some of the worst possible evangelists. People who genuinely wanted to quit smoking and move on to using something that is easier to quit. Instead of focusing on making better and better alternatives to cigarettes, the industry discovered that the people who will really shell out cash are lifers who want the biggest clouds bruh and will pay out the nose for cloying sweet liquid and don't really care about the slightest possibility of a public good. It's managed to drive away the people who genuinely want something small to replace their cigarettes so they can hike with their kids or who want to breathe easy after going up stairs or taste their family's cooking again and instead attract people who couldn't do anything in their lives well besides wrap a metal wire coil and infest Facebook. I'm NewFatMike, I work in the industry, I review the things, I'm the AUG. The vaping industry is the AUG.
