try and find something that is fun, yet also serves as something you can spin into graduate school narrative or a cover letter two birds one stone

Barring the semester I tried to tough out with mostly untreated depression this was the roughest one ever. But I got through it alright.

if you're bored this summer just get a videogame and work out and smoke weed. XCOM 2 is the poo poo I got straight As, I think. I feel good about all my classes, just waiting on the formal grades. Teachers don't like submiting grades in a timely manner.

I have a friend who just moved to Japan, so I'm going to spend July there drinking and flipping imaginary tables at the arcade. Rest of the summer will be a cross between VR, weed, working out, and national parks (to work on a hobby GIS project). Great suggestions all around, friends. Unrelated, but how much time is too much time to spend getting a VR hentai game to work? I ask for a friend.

I got a job offer with a sweet company in a university town full of yoga butts starting in July. Signing bonus, full benefits, 3 weeks paid vacation, whole nine yards. Three more weeks of school then I can move over there and get to know the town before I start work. Life keeps getting better and better.

I loaded it up after 2 hours and remembered I don't even like anime, and by that time my girlfriend had woken up and asked wtf I was doing. It was hard to explain but we made it through. It's going to be incredibly amusing when the majority of college age and junior workforce kids don't understand the basics of file systems and other similar computer things thanks to being raised entirely on touch devices.

I literally can't wait for someone to start doing the "safety Zone" bullshit or whatever genderfluid atrocity bullshit. I'm for whoever loving whoever and marrying whoever. Got it. Don't act like your plight is as bad as you are trying to make it out to be. Everybody loves acting like a goddamn victim. Same goes for whatever dumbass millenial says I "have it easy because I have the GI Bill." Mother fucker? I worked hard to have it this easy, which is why your mom is paying my way through college. She does not come easily. Same with Brainwashing or whatever they claim, but I think I'd just end up laughing through that one.

honestly i've had worse experiences with other vets in college than anything to do with transexual people or social justice warriors or anything. i know they're at my college, but they all keep to themselves and don't act like shitheads. compare that to all the downright loving retarded vets all over campus. there is one cool vet dude i talk to at my school. ONE. the rest need to go back to grade school, or possibly the army because god loving drat loving MORONS, i'm not even exaggerating. no wonder normal people loving hate veterans.

When I did community college I ran into a bunch of really stupid vets. Of particular note was my public speaking class which happened to be taught by a dependapotamous. There were two marine vets in there, one of which wanted to constantly hijack class to jabber about Obama and socialism. Once he dropped the class the other one decided he needed to fill the void by running his mouth too. Back in fall semester one of my groupmates for our German final project was veteran who wore stuff everyday to advertise it. He disappeared and was never seen again along with some other guy so our team was suddenly galf the size of everyone else's. The one time I was in the vet center bere they seemed alright, but I still don't hang out in there.

I was a Sociology major for both undergrad and grad and the number of times I encountered any SJW stuff outside of classes actually designated for them can be counted on one hand. You have to actively look for that stuff. I had to take a gender class as part of my graduate program, we discussed the different types of feminism and gay rights. That's it. There are most assuredly classes that are literally Social Justice but unless you go to the worst school ever they're the most optional of electives.

There were 3 other vets in my machining course. One ex army who quit because he went to get on the run from a 40k IRS bill or some poo poo, an ex marine who couldn't get to class on time ever (LOL), and another marine who was actually really cool but the sad brains got him and I found out later when I thought he was absent he'd actually be parked in his car and couldn't quite get to class. Poor bastard. Then there's a RANGER!!11 in another class nearby, I only just saw him today - because he was covered with ranger poo poo - but I can hear him practically yelling twice per break AS A RANGER I

It really speaks to the degradation of the United States that people can stand up and say "As a vet I, " on any number of subjects and not be shouted down. Where are the college students of yesteryear who spit on returning draftees while deriding them as babykillers? Where did we go wrong?

Was on an "academic retreat" to the beach this weekend with a Marine reservist and ten single 20-year-old women. Intelligent, earnest, built like a brick wall—and holy poo poo he would not shut up about the Marines. I understand pushing every advantage you've got, but for the only other person on the trip with any idea what the difference between the services were, hearing him explain that how the "expeditionary mission" of the Marines makes them basically special forces got pretty annoying by the third time. He also made me feel like a weenie when he took his shirt off.
