Reddit has undoubtedly the worst layout on the internet and yet people flock to it. It baffles my mind, it's like they are stuck in 2002.

I'd say Craigslist is even more garbo, especially for such a major commerce site.

Craigslist has no ads and is free. Hard to fault them for being so simple

Reddit has pornography and the ability to upvote the same comments over and over again that make all white guys laugh, so naturally it's gargantuan. Hey, the porn is what made SA so popular back in the day, so *shrug* Now IMGUR comments, there's the lifeblood of the internet.

Hey I'm just saying. Ted 2 had a scene where the stuffed bear tried to spermjack Tom Brady and that movie made over $200 million. Sex sells.

Reddits not any different than any other large group of internet posters. What attracts people to it is the upvote system which gives posters a sense of self worth and validation. My biggest beef is that it fosters zero discussion as every post is an attempt to get karma while posts below a certain threshold on the parent chain never get responded to. Great for content, horrible for replicating good discussion from a forum based setting.

Reddit has been a huge boon to my views and mild success but I can't post my own stuff on there because of the same bullshit Darth Brooks just dealt with. SELF PROMOTION IS A BIG NO-NO. The only time my stuff ends up posted on reddit now is when someone else does it (or if I post something to the Giants subreddit, they like me). Also it's stupid how insular they act for such a massive site. When I do get a comic posted someone inevitably says "Meh he just gets all his material from r/nfl/" and I want to scream at them about how loving dumb they are for thinking reddit is half as original as they think it is. I don't even read the comments on reddit, I use it for headlines. I steal my jokes from here and twitter. But I usually ask first.

Reddit is interesting because it is objective proof that anonymity and the complete absence of oversight actually harms free speech more than protects it EDIT: I just do not understand how people have conversations on there

It's like the worst of the worst posters. *posts response linking to several articles directly refuting a condescending post* "Uh okay you sound pretty angry bud. Also maybe if you posted here more you'd know how we do things"

Reddit is horrible, badly designed, and has no real sense of community. Also I'll be looking for a Redmen AV sometime before the season.

I've probably spent like 100 bucks between my own account, buying certs for people, avatars, etc. It sounds like a lot but I've been here for almost half my life and it's provided me with countless hours of entertainment. I'm gonna buy some more avatars and stuff soon so Lowtax can pay the bills to keep SA in THE CLOUD. I love you all

Part of the reason I posted them on Reddit is that I was hoping someone seeing the thread might have some team letters they could scan, and Hey, I get to make more letterheads. A day later and it's still just as stupid a decision.

Also they're perfectly fine with original content as long as it isn't any form of media which makes zero sense. Granted I've come across some cool stuff in /r/nfl and my draft stuff is allowed in there but it just seems like such an unnecessary hindrance.

I think the mods there are excessively worried that if they allow any sort of original content like mine, they'll get flooded with people posting their own art/songs/etc, and a majority of it actually will be people looking to get attention, and to be honest that's pretty much what I'm doing too. The problem is by neutering all of it instead of being selective, they have made the place a completely sanitized fun-vacuum. A lot of the things that people could be posting there would be great, but they are so worried about the "bad" stuff they've ruined all the potential.
