blk posted:http://jalopnik.com/nissan-will-take-control-of-mitsubishi-motors-1776219367 I guess a DSM revival is probably not in the cards at this point although they are still going to be contracting out Chrysler's small and sedans to someone. The Chrysler-Mazda merger is still possible, and just getting Mazda to make all of Chrysler's small and midsize sedans would be a good fit. The other solution would be to contract out their sedan production to VW in TN.

"Best-selling" and "Popular" don't always mean "not terrible." Disclaimer: I'm a VW owner and love my VAG.

Anecdotes ahoy: Our local dodge dealer is the only of the big manufacturers dealers that doesn't even try to get people to pay near MSRP for their trucks and stuff. Before I knew about the insane profit margins of the pickup industry I was astonished that the dodge dealers were selling new Rams for almost $10k off MSRP. I don't think they're ever not on "dealer must sell" sales. Go to the local ford/chevy/nissan/toyota dealers website and all their trucks are listed pretty much at MSRP.

The new 2.0 turbo 4 from Chrysler dubbed "hurricane" is supposed to make close to 300 hp and would make a great power plant for whatever lightweight srt vehicle they should be cooking up.

Ford Ecoboost 2.0 at 252hp Chevy LTG 2.0 at 272hp and now a Mopar I4 at 300hp? Living in the future is p cool. edit: a quick google says Chrysler's is 276hp.
