Who would want to watch a TV show about the laziest Batman? But really, a rich dude turning an entire precinct into his personal fiefdom to test out what he thinks makes for the best police work is a concept rife for satire (Why don't we run police like we would a business?), too bad the show isn't going in that direction.

Weirdly, that was kinda the plot to a 90s Christian Slater action/comedy.

I really wonder what button "pantsuit" is supposed to push. Dyke? It seems like the sort of not-actually-wrong but vaguely dogwhistley thing that gets repeated by the sort of people who say "B. Hussein Obama" and such. Hillary wears a suit and so is a lawyer, which is bad, but the suit has pants, not a skirt as you should apparently assume because she is a woman, which is also bad, and probably sort of gay, which is even worse. Arugula!

She's a woman, and she's wearing pants instead of a dress. It's that simple.

LorrdErnie posted:I think the point was that men's suits aren't called pantsuits. A woman wearing a 'suit' is ambiguous, so specifying skirt suit or pants suit adds detail to the description. If a man is wearing a suit that is not a pants suit, that should probably be noted, but otherwise is generally assumed to be the default. e: The people using pants suit demeaningly towards Clinton and their target audience probably just generally think women should wear dresses and stay out of the public sphere.
