I just saw that there's a F2P version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 available in the Asian PSN Store. I don't know what content has been stripped out for the F2P model, but if you're interested in the game, you can check it out for free. Since this is the Asia region version, it has the English text option.

You'll need to log in with your Asia PSN Account to "purchase" it, but once it's downloaded and installed to your PS4, you can switch to your usual login to play it. There's a Vita version, too, but don't bother unless your Vita's usual PSN account is Asia region.

F2P only has Kasumi, and the Casino has to be paid for. Everything else is apparently intact.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification.

In related news, there's a free PS4 theme of DOAX3's Marie Rose w/ Hatsune Miku in the JP PSN store. It's more of just a wallpaper than a full-on theme, but hey—it's free.

Also... preeetty creepy-lookin'. :v:

I know that Bushido Blade is on the JPN PSN, if I buy a jpn card is there an easy way to get it working on my NA PS3? Only time I ever did it before was for the FFXIV theme for PS4 that was japan only.

Yes, I've done this and it works fine, although there are a few things to note:

- Japanese versions, so O is confirm, and all menus and dialogue are in Japanese with no English.
- The blocky blood is bright orange due to Japanese censorship.
- The games are kind of designed around R2 being a proper button and playing with the Dualshock 3's triggers is kind of weird.

Make sure you're signed into your Japanese account or signed out entirely, or it'll try to redirect to another region and error out.

The characters work out to a bit over $10 USD each, which is probably more than the entire game is worth. Free is a good price though. I'm guessing they did this in response to people making GBS threads on the value of the game which is something like two thirds recycled poo poo from a decade ago

The casino is something like $17 which is dumb as hell since it's almost completely recycled and any lovely casino game you can get on your phone is better

Also if you want the maximum perv package, there's a limited time offer of 500 premium tickets (used to buy swimsuits) for a mere $142! What a steal!

That should have already been pulled, did they re-introduce it or never take it down?

EDIT laffo, they reintroduced it to coincide with this launch.

To it's credit, the volleyball is actually much improved from the previous entry. It's just too bad that so much was removed from the game for no good reason (most non japanese characters, watercraft racing, some casino games).

Best recent volleyball game is the wii u version of tekken tag 2 with it's tekken ball mode. Namco should get in on this with Tekken Xtreme Ball-lyball Starring Reiko Nagase.

I see that Crypt of the Necrodancer is on sale for $10.50, how are people enjoying it? I like the idea of a rhythm game roguelike, but I'm worried that the actual execution wasn't as good.

I love rogue-likes, i love the diva games, but together it's just eh. You have to do all the considerations of a rogue-like in playing, every music beat the game advances one turn, if you do an action off beat, or skip a beat, your multipliers reset, and every level has a time limit in that you lose if the song ends. I can see how that can appeal to others, but for me it just resulted in jumping back and forth a lot while thinking, and running out of time.

I was a little disappointed with the amount of equipment is actually in it, the gameplay is great though.
