Red posted:Now, because he wed Lysa, and she's dead - should anything happen to Robyn, Littlefinger inherits The Vale. No he doesn't. You don't inherit titles through marriage, only through blood. It doesn't work like inheriting your spouses house in the modern day. Play some Crusader Kings 2 people! It goes to the Lord's children, then their siblings, etc, never to their spouses. Lysa and LF have no claim on the Vale, only their influence over Robyn. If Robyn dies it goes to some other member of the Arryn family, if any exist. If LF inherits upon Robyn's death, why is Robyn still alive?

It would go to some Arryn cousin or something. LF's control of the Vale is entirely through his influence over Robyn. This was shown very clearly in the last episode. If Robyn died that old knight guy would probably have LF executed.

Not sure where else to post this. Wife and I just watched our very first GoT episode (1-1) and were a little (just a little) put off by all the nudity. Is this what we can expect for the remaining episodes as well? Sorry if this sounds prudish.

A key skill for any veteran GoT viewer is learning how to use the fast forward button to skip past the stupid parts.

Thanks! I expected political struggle, the occasional monster and sword fights and got unwanted "marriage" and incest in the first episode (if I understood relationships correctly). Personally I don't mind that too much, but my wife won't play along and I can understand her. Oh well. Thanks, Xanderkish.

To be honest if you can look past the gore / violence but not the nudity I think your priorities are out of order. However in general I don't think you should give any show just a one-episode chance. I'd judge off of 2 or 3 at least.

But yeah I love when Americans whine about fanservice in anime but man I sure love seeing dudes get murdered horribly! It does nothing for me personally and can be annoying but it doesn't deter me. Also last season had like 6 minutes of nudity, the first season has by far the most.

Reminds me of my grandparents who would immediately turn off anything that featured nudity or swearing, yet Last of the Mohicans with someones heart being torn out of their chest in grisly detail, limbs being smashed with war clubs, all totally fine. One of their favourite movies.

You know, I think the first season has some nudity in there to grab viewers, but I feel like you see less as time goes on. Nudity is far outweighed by graphic violence as the show progresses. Plus, I don't think the nudity is senseless - it usually fits the scene.

The proprietor, Littlefinger, made his fortune this way by accommodating the immoral tastes of the rich. He also uses it as a spy network. They do like their sexy exposition scenes, that's for sure. Though nothing in Thrones is quite as silly as the Italian Pope explaining the political geography of Italy to his Italian mistress while pleasuring her in The Borgias.

The knights of the vale are badass and Royce knows what he's doing; but he's not really trying. Royce can't push Robyn or discipline him or punish him in any way, so he's stuck just going "hey buddy, take a shot! you did it! good job!" even though Robyn sucks. lllllllllllllllllll posted:Not sure where else to post this. emanresu tnuocca posted:"...But you need the bad pussy" The series was never more enjoyable for me than when it was Bronn/Tyrion's Excellent Adventures, with a side of Podrick. Particularly season 3, episodes 3-4, where it seems like Pod and Jon Snow simultaneously discover cunnilingus. No one else in GoT was able to have a hooker give the money back, so I can't imagine what else Podrick did. It was so shocking even Varys needed to take notes.

I'm sorry but that's really dumb. Nunchucks aren't a proper weapon you'd ever want to use in a fight. They're used for training speed (they look flashy but accomplish very little, much like fighting with two swords!) and if they were ever even used in a fight, it was by farmers as improvised weapons because they didn't have spears or swords. loving swordchucks.
