This reminds me of a newbie I met who got into a Navy Raven as fast as possible, fit with Faction hardware, who couldn't figure out for the life of her how to profit from missions after paying for repairs in station.

I'm making money, but I will have to start traveling a fair amount for work and won't have a ton of time to log in. PI seems like it requires relatively minimal time investment so even if the isk doesn't line up with what you can get doing burners (which I still have to turn down at the moment) it might be a decent way to grow my wallet while I'm earning frequent flier miles and hating my job

PI puts you on a dangerous path in eve, a schedule. If you've ever run reaction chains, or mining pos you can extrapolate what this entails. If you haven't good luck

Yes the losses. She died in Enemies Abound part 4 (I think it was), where there are four or five separate spawns that you have to stay ahead of by killing them off. They do about 1,000 DPS each, and each wave is on a timer. I think she warped out to repair and warped back to the mission thinking they would pick up where they left off, but instead warped into a ball of angry NPCs. Being in alliance, myself and one other player made our way to retrieve the wreck before it despawned in 90 minutes. No matter what we tried, small ships, strong ships, we died before we could get to the wreck, until finally my buddy got in a slasher and wanted to try speed tanking them and pulling aggro. This was back before NPCs switched targets. It was great. I warped in with my loot scooper and my buddy is microwarping across my screen left to right with the biggest ball of NPCs I've ever seen hurling all their missiles at him. The girl tried to give us each a Caldari Navy Launcher from the loot as payment but we refused.
