I tried the Ramen Burger at Red Robin. I was worried the bun would be like an uncooked brick of ramen, but it's soft noodles flash-fried to be crispy on the outside, with a little seasoning. It was tasty, but salty, and there was so much going on inside (teriyaki! aioli! chili cabbage! fried jalapenos!) that you couldn't taste the hamburger patty at all. All in all, I'm not unhappy that I tried it, but -- like the bacon fatty melt I tried at a local diner years ago -- I don't think I'll have one again any time soon. No pics because I was actually at lunch with someone else and being sociable and all that.

I tried a sushi burrito for the first time a few days ago and you guys are just being snobs. As long as you play to its strengths it's fine. It's not classic sushi but it's not trying to be, ya dorks. If you get what is basically a giant cucumber roll, it hits the same refreshing and crisp notes as a Thai salad/spring roll. If you get the giant version of some bullshit Vegas roll with like two shots of spicy mayo, you're getting the sushi equivalent of a double down and you deserve your fate. The place I went gave you an option for either nori or a soy wrap for the outer part, the nori was really good in a big quantity like that.

I'm going to Red Robin on Sunday, and this sounds like it might be up my alley. I do like myself a fried jalapeno. Do we have a :raccoon: yet?

Sometimes Tubby Dog goes too far: Rob Cinco Dimaio: a chorizo sausage in a taco shell on a bed of guacamole in a hotdog bun, topped with pico, queso, Valentina's hot sauce, sour cream and chives.

Eating sea cucumber is basically eating a gigantic living anus. It's better off left to clean the detritus off the sea floor.
