The whole thing was a weak take off on the Bull Durham "I believe in" speech. There's still hope but Simmons has always been pretty bad on TV.

I watched that Iowa/Wisconsin game and I remember nothing about Steve Levy. Most of ESPN's college football crew seems to be blending into this shapeless blob of bland and forgettable now that they're jettisoning their big names (read: most expensive names). I still haven't forgiven them for actively burying Brent Musburger.

He's like Ricky Gervais--- he's popular for some reason and is up his own rear end because everyone thinks he's goddamned hilarious for some reason but I can't stand the sight of his stupid smug face.
