Now every single game more or less plays exactly the same. I too miss the days when the vast majority of games were unplayable garbage

Why does the ds4 have issues on Windows? On Mac, it's plug and play with no problems. Steam and OpenEmu compatible.

It doesn't use xinput out of the box and that fucks if for a lot of windows games. TBH I forgot a lot of the specifics, it's been like 18 months since I got a 3rd party driver solution (inputmapper, which thanks to my HOSTS file is ad-free) and mostly forgot about it.

I haven't tried that with InputMapper, but if you open its window and select the controller you can manually disconnect it. Also you can set the idle disconnect timer if you like. e: a lot of settings are profile specific and thus are under the profile itself
