Give me your friend's BURGERS and SANDWICHES, I'll put out the fire.

I am going to tap the poo poo out of the golden saucer. I was grinding meander vile points to get the Afro hairstyle but now I got to go back, what's some good ways to make money there? I have a lot more cards now but I have yet to touch Lords of Vermillion and Chocobo Racing

Chocobo Racing is apparently worth a good half mil on the new challenges alone right now, although that's a one time thing.

The weekly challenge log has several goals that give out 5k-8k points each week for pretty simple things like participate in 3 chocobo races, play 10 triple triad matches, take part in 5 GATES. You should knock those out for a good 40-50k each week before you start grinding anything. Also, always do your daily mini cactpot. Find a solver if you're not good at the patterns.

Yeah, the challenge log now is a huge amount of repeatable MGP.

It is true that you can get about 425K in non-recurring chocobo racing bonus MGP but to get to later challenges and actually win them you are going to have to do a fair amount of chocobo racing and breeding, so don't expect to complete that all at once or within a day or two.

Always Barrel. The only situation it would help to take it off is if you need to kill adds in a short amount of time and also move a round a lot which doesn't happen very often. Once you get to 60 you'll have some more abilities that you can only use while the barrel is on and they are all really good and useful.

Before gauss round, gauss barrel isn't worth it yet. But at 60, you'll pretty much have it on at all times unless you're in a fight that requires heavy amounts of movement.

Also, last night in Tam-Tara Hard I had a warrior who refused to use a maim combo because "It won't help build enmity" He also stood in every AOE and didn't use any of his wrath abilities, or any cooldown for that matter. Then I got an ARF with a dragoon who wouldn't use his disembowel combo.

Speaking of ARF, I regret wanting to have it in 60dr. It's a long dungeon with annoying fights that pubbies struggle with, no loot, and the ilvl sync is really annoying. I will take Neverreap any day over it.

If you're really Bout Dat MGP Grind, imo the best thing you can do right now is play the lumberjack game outside of verminion. You can get 400 MGP a pop pretty reliably after a little practice.

I've been getting some real winner tanks lately. I had a DRK in a Dusk Vigil who was wearing 60 armor but barely seemed to know how to play. He stood in a number of AoEs, didn't use cooldowns much, and didn't keep Darkside up nearly as much as he should have.

I still don't understand why fireworks aren't, like, ALC recipes. They'd be perfect for giving ALC consumables people might actually want to use.

Instead I guess you'll have to rely on Quick Ventures to restock fireworks after the event is over.

Yeah, I would be leveling like mad as an ALC if they could craft fireworks.

Look at this snail.
As a level 60 ALC specialist, I would be very happy if they did this. Even if they don't though, at least alchemy still has the only good looking level 60 crafter set. (I like the 50 set better still)

Actually, I would be really overjoyed if they let 60 crafters/gatherers glamour their gear on to discipline of war or magic sets. It should be a reward for all that pain.

I kinda wish it was just another emote, not unlike Realm Reborn Red. Fireworks-type items are neat, but having them only available for limited times is disappointing. :(

Oh, but yeah, letting ALC make fireworks would be great, too. XI had that and so I often had a surplus of some of the simpler fireworks on hand for similar occasions.

Considering all the feature piracy WoW has been doing to FFXIV in their beta for their next expansion I could go for a stupid 'we need to fix the inflated economy that we inflated' vendor that sells event consumables in an expensive unlimited use form

Would kill for viera... seriously. As for people's listing all the things they'd rather have than viera... to me, this is how I see it.

I've already been supremely disappointed with how they've handled the race/clans and other creation options as it is... I sincerely have ZERO faith that they can or would ever address this. However, as they haven't been released yet in any form... viera have yet to disappoint me.

Therefore, I welcome them in just about any form kid or adult concept art (pref the adult one... gimme that rdm viera!) Its viera... surely they can't mess that one up like they did Au'ra right?

It can be a bit of a slog due to running distance, folks out of practice/underestimating mechanics, and new 60s that can't hit the item sync. Don't get me wrong, it's a visually stunning dungeon with great music and unusually complex bosses, but for me a bit of the nostalgia shine has worn off.

Also yes, no items is not great. Throw a minion in there or something (which I know costs time, but it'd be an incentive).

Hey, thread. What's the best way to get gear for your non-main classes? As much as I love DRG, I'm feeling like a change of pace, but my warrior's like level 20 and I don't have any higher level tank equipment. Is there a non-annoying way to keep up, gear-wise, with the faster rate you get XP on alt classes?

Play on Excal, ask goons for freebies every 10 ten levels.

If that's not an option, then buy it from the marketplace which can get expensive.

It's worth noting that while getting HQ armor for healer/DPS is really just a matter of a handful of extra stat points, getting HQ armor for tanks is a very appreciable boost to defense. Same goes for staying up to date in ilvl. If your gear is 10 levels behind and NQ, you will be noticeably squishy. Not unhealable, but definitely noticeable. (Right-side accessories don't really matter though.)

If you're leveling a tank, I'd say to take the advice of asking your friendly neighborhood crafters for gear. If you're leveling something non-tank then yeah, feel free to let your stuff lag behind a while (though honestly a lot of crafters are all "gently caress YEAH I CAN BE USEFUL TO A NEWBIE" and would just as soon you ask for poo poo).
