Ah, the good old days when the devs were actually having fun rather than working in a digital sweatshop Well I think it depends because at least some of the time, devs back then and modern indie devs did and still do the digital sweatshop thing, but it was a bit more palatable because it was self-inflicted and inspired by "I really want to do this thing" rather than "We figured out that in this industry it's accepted if we do this to our employees."
