If I was being charitable I'd say the hexagons are a nod to the bees on the city coat of arms, but it's Adidas so it's just the poo poo template they're going to give everyone

I see that adding a different tone of the same color is a thing this year. Not a big fan of that but I still like them a lot more than the hoops they did.

Panama  I like them both, the home is better looking though. They say the stripe represents the canal, if so that's a pretty neat detail.
