the dodging on this is way too fake looking and kinda sloppy. like why is the whole front of the middle building bright when nothing else at that angle is bright? and what about that one tree branch that's too close to his head? and shouldn't there be some more dodging down the front of his suit if the light on his upper chest is to be believable?

drat, you made some good points here, especially the tree branches and the side of the building. That's what I get for moving too fast on the edit. The tree I can fix easily, but the building is going to take some doing. I'll poke at it, thanks!

OK, so this really hosed with me for a while. I made some updates here, hopefully it looks a bit more natural. I like the flare-in aspect to the light, so I don't want to take the building behind him all the way dark, and some of that bleeding light is real. Does it feel better, do you think?

Thank you. I've been taking some time off from work, which has been giving me a lot of time to shoot recently. Sorry for flooding the boards.

I had no idea this was a thing there would be a thread for. I just got a Sony a6000 and really love the feel of street pics.

This might be my favorite picture I have taken:

I don't know if others will find it as compelling, but I would love feedback.

Powder run yesterday in town. I care too much about my gear to take photos of the actual run but I got some post-event snaps.

I like the first of these the most because it doesn't look like they have been on a powder run. Capturing people out of context can be more interesting in this way.

anybody know of some interesting contemporary street photographers, specifically ones that are on flickr? Been searching for some good people to follow. Especially if they shoot film.

This is a good Flickr group. The work I see here pushes me to try and make better pictures.

The green stuff at the front of the frame makes it very David Attenborough-esque too...

"Here we are, capturing a herd of togs in their natural environment. If we're very quiet, you might be able to hear some clicks emanating from the area, which works as a reverse mating call..."
