E MO TION Chat: I downloaded Fever and First Time tonight (I can't believe I hadn't heard them before, once again it's amazing that songs this good were left off of the album), and I'm starting to think about reordering some of the tracks. At this point, When I Needed You (which is a perfect closer) is only about halfway through the album, and that ain't right. Tell me what you think of this: The first eight tracks are unfuckwithable in my eyes, but I slipped Fever in after Your Type (they're very similar songs), kept Let's Get Lost after that, then added First Time. LA Hallucinations, Black Heart and Warm Blood together after that, and ending with I Didn't Just Come Here To Dance, Favorite Color, Never Get To Hold You, Love Again, and finally When I Needed You. It doesn't change that much honestly, but I think it would be a bit more cohesive if the bonus tracks were sprinkled through the back half. Like I said, When I Needed You is such a perfect closer (it sounds like the end credits of a John Hughes movie!), and I wanted to group a few of the more similar sounded bonus tracks with the songs they go with from the original album playlist. I thought about changing the first half up, but from Run Away With Me to Boy Problems is one perfect song after the other, and taking Making the Most of the Night and moving it back would only make it even more top-heavy.

There's a lot of just really good singles in there with very few misses. Bad Decision and Everyday are my top songs right now. I really have liked that fact that while she has a voice as good, if not better than Mariah, she's stopped trying to be Mariah.
