Echo Chamber posted:I want Metroid Prime Pinball. After tomorrow, the only Metroid games not available on NA Virtual Console will be Metroid Prime Pinball and Metroid: Other M. (I phrased it the way I did to count Metroid II on the 3DS VC) I kind of hope Metroid Prime Pinball comes through and Other M doesn't, although since both Japan and Europe have Other M on Virtual Console we'll get it eventually.

How was Metroid Pirme Pinball, anyway? Also there was a Mario themed pinball game on DS too, right?

The phase of making Nintendo-themed pinball games ended when the 3DS was released, right? What was with that?

Metroid Prime Pinball is legendary and if they released it as a My Nintendo reward, I'd freak.

mycot posted:The phase of making Nintendo-themed pinball games ended when the 3DS was released, right? What was with that? The studio that made Mario/Metroid Pinball and Pinball Pulse on DSiWare, Fuse Games, went bankrupt shortly after Pinball Pulse was released. The people who made those games also made the Pro Pinball games back in the day and they've since reformed to make another crowdfunded Pro Pinball game. They also made a 3DS game for Nintendo based on that BearShark video series they used to pimp on the eShop. PaletteSwappedNinja fucked around with this message at 05:18 on Jun 2, 2016 |

I'm glad the 3DS had the circle pad because the era of games using the touch screen as analog input was bullshit.

PaletteSwappedNinja posted:Having the touchscreen on a separate controller would make Hunters a lot more comfortable to play for a lot of people so it's a shame it won't have multiplayer. BUT, thanks to some recent WiiU homebrew developments I was able to play the game rendered at double the DS's normal resolution and with the bottom screen stretched to properly fill the gamepad screen. I played a fair bit of the multiplayer back in the day but I only played the single player once, so it was pretty fun to come back to- especially with the increase in resolution

Even DKC 64 is good for having like, the only good arcade port of Donkey Kong in history. You just have to play as bunch of poo poo till you unlock it.

If anyone in the UK is interested, you can get an eshop code for Nintendo Pocket Football Club for just under £5 from Gameseek. And when you redeem it, it still counts as a £13.49 eshop purchase so you get 20 gold coins on My Nintendo.

PAL update (week of June 9):quote:WII U RETAIL DOWNLOADS Kirby Planet Robobot is very similar to the last one but much better in every way (except framerate with 3D turned on, but maybe it's more stable on New 3DS). Everyone knows Kirby's Dream Course is good but people don't mention it often enough. Go buy the good game. Terraria 3DS was a very competent port that made good use of the dual-screen/touch-screen set up and the Wii U version looks to use much the same interface with some other Wii U-specific features like letting one person play on the TV and one on the gamepad screen. I'm sure everyone already bought it for pennies years ago but it's nice they're making an effort. B3 Expo for Bees, again! The rest of the world needs to know about the bees!

I never played the later Pokemon Ranger games, but the first one was a pretty neat idea that managed to turn a pretty simple mechanical idea into a fun game. For some reason I thought Revelations was coming out next month. I've only finished Birthright so far and haven't started Conquest yet but I suppose I'll download that when it goes up since I grabbed a 10% off Nintendollarydoos card alongside Fates for that purpose.
