The Burst/Fusion stuff or whatever is probably going to end up being what is essentially a customisable Forme Change. Think about it practically. There's going to be something like 800-850 mons now and it looks like customising your trainer is back. So using Ash's Greninja in the anime as the example (Because that's almost certainly what this is) you'll probably have a selection of special Pokemon (Starters, Pikachu, Lucario and so forth.) that can change into Burst Forme. What that does you can change using the gem slots on the bracelet. One slot for a primary colour change, one for a secondary etc. Then you'll probably have them able to learn a special move rather like the various Rotoms. Want to change what sort of special move you can get? That's another gem slot! All very straightforward without being bullshit much like how Megas turned out to be.

Stealth beanstalk in the upper right. Big round water bowls that look like they'll probably need Waterfall and are likely going to be annoying to traverse at the upper middle right. Pirate ship near the middle. COMBAT GOLF COURSE SLOPE near the fancy building on the upper right island. There may be stuff hidden behind tall things that'd only be visible when rotated, too, looking at what we can see of the upper left island compared to what we've seen of it in other angles.

The white island building looks like the Maison to me. Also you can literally see boats coming from the direction of blue buildings. No supersurfing.
