Crobat, Bellossom and Politoed made occasional appearances. I lost more battles than I won, but the ones I did win were primarily because my opponent had no way to stop the Azumarill train. Oh, you brought out a Blastoise? Here, I'll just use Belly Drum and become unstoppable.

speaking of catching every pokemon, why is glameow the hardest pokemon to get for some reason? its only really available in pearl. they finally made it catchable again in oras but only in a specific mirage forest. what the hell

is there any particular app or website any of ya'll use to keep track of what pokemon you need and where to find them? I was gonna just count on the in-game dex and bulbapedia but if there's some interactive checklist and compendium I can use that'd be swell.

oddium posted:the ending where ruby secretly had a celebi all along and it takes him to an alternate timeline where marge and wallace and his dad aren't dead because uh I think he meant Emerald particularly. Anyway, Ruby teleporting to a timeline where the like 8 needless deaths that occurred in the arcs final chapters didn't actually happen was one of the better parts about the ending. Because a lot of people just randomly died in that arc and it was kinda weird. I always get amused by how in Special, Archie and Maxie who are the most sympathetic (if incredibly stupid) of the villain teams in the game get turned into completely irredeemable monsters whereas Cyrus is the one who gets a redemption plotline.

You get the feeling the writer was really stumped on how to explain ORAS Archie and Maxie being the opposite of the Archie and Maxie they'd already written(and killed off).

The sheer lengths the manga goes to show off all the Pokemon and moves and characters and still keep it in a progressive, linear story is absolutely amazing and I love it so much. Because it's loving Pokemon, so there's all kinds of batshit explanations as to how things happen and it's wonderful.
