The circumstances of some of those ratifications is still one of my favorite things from the time of the revolution. That and Washington's overly complicated battle plans that were a couple centuries too early.

Oh no, Trump read off a teleprompter and didn't take any questions. The sky is falling, etc. Even if he could keep this act up for any length of time (he can't), he still has a multi-decade history of being Trump which is primed and ready to launch against him as soon as the general gets underway.
