Yeah CCP's line is scamming someone where you get them to spend real money. You can't convince someone to buy plex and then steal that either.

What I have heard is that he walks the fine line of saying he will share some of the proceeds and he does do that. He just doesn't share the majority of it and doesn't specify exactly how much he will give.

He means locking down their static 24 hours a day for their entire reinforcement cycle to prevent them from bringing in friends. You have to seed caps three at a time for a month or so in advance if it's a decent sized group as well.

I don't think much cap seeding will be needed, the alliance is one of the worst in the game. They have a handful of carriers, and I don't think I've ever seen them use a dread, though I know their CEO can fly them. As a newbie alliance that struggles to retain people, I don't think most people can fly caps.

Someone posted a story on reddit about how they got trapped in a wormhole after their corp failscaded. The gist was that they logged off in a ship without probes, were away a couple weeks, and when they came back there was nothing in system but an empty POS. They had to drop a mobile depot and rename it as an SOS until someone offered to scan them out.

(ed: obviously you could just pod yourself, I guess this person didn't want to lose the last thing they had left though)

I guess it's really a matter of how attached you are to your ship/pod- you can just self-destruct out of w-space whenever you want.

I mean- in theory, exiling people into w-space would be amazing.

It's just not possible with the current mechanics.

You can jump between jump clones located in the hole. No kspace<->jspace jumping or med clones though.

In theory the world's best corp thief could steal every probe the corp owns and close any known exits. I did something similar when I jacked all a WH corps assets; people would log off in their expensive T3s and leave their scanning ships in the SMA. This was before mobile depots and citadels.
Those who waited 2 days got rescued by a random blue but most were stranded with no options.

Citadels make stealing everything essentially impossible, so you'd be hard pressed to repeat it.

It's not the best idea to evict small groups like that. You can just camp their WH and gank at random when they try to do anything. No local and no contacts lists has made this an excellent tool of terror if done right.
e.g. - watch them doing their PI, see / work out where they go and in what order. Work out when they're on their last trip and will be full of P4s. Have your sabre on that POCO and bubble when they're about to leave.
You won't see rage like you get when you gently caress with people for days.

This happens with some regularity. People get trapped in wormholes without probes for all kinds of reasons. There's a holesquad story out there about a multi day adventure where they killed the first guy offering to give them probes, loot the probes, then find out they don't have a mobile depot. It's one of the reasons eve is so cool. Other games rely on NPC quest givers but in eve other players themselves will give you fedex and escort quests. The most I've gotten for helping a stranded dude in a wormhole was 500m. He probably had a lot more than that in his dst and pod though.

We killed the guy's stratios and had his pod scrammed, he tried to offer us a way out in exchange for his implants but because I'm dumb and thought we had everything we needed we popped him, queue madcows being a hero and poo poo talking in local for 2 days until a random sold him a depot for 40 mil or something. During the 2 days I had a vni shooting a poco for 10 hours while i was afk/asleep just to see if you could solo reinforce it (you can't, peak regen is too high). Madcows is actually a true shitposting hero though :v:

Within my first two weeks after starting a new account I rescued a guy who had jumped into a hole he found in Perimeter, forgot to bookmark the entrance, somehow warped to a moon uncloaked and got popped by a POS. He didn't want to trash his implants and was asking in noob corp chat for help. I did not get a nice payday, but it was cool helping someone out.

Literally the second post:

Q: The Naglfar won't have enough Power Grid to fit 3 guns (especialy with Artillery!)!
A: The changes to the Naglfar's model and number of turret hardpoints are already on Sisi and we didn't want to leave this without any comment from CCP. However, we haven't quite finished our fitting balance tweaks to the Nag. We're probably going to hit this problem from both sides, with a reduction to the PG requirement of XL Artillery and a small increase to the Naglfar's PG.
