Figure companies are never shy about that sort of thing, but Nep, in spite of its fanservice, seems to skirt by that. No pun intended. Why the heck is there still no hoody Neptune or Vert figure!?

Before the clothing explosions, the worst you'd get are bouncy anime boobs, and what game *doesn't* have that now.

I think the market for porn figures is probably small enough that it isn't worth the bad press to make an official one and neptunia is too small fry to get unofficial ones

I'm dumb, because I thought what you meant by "cast-off" was "figures made using a cast" and just thought "what, any plastic figure?" not "removeable clothes". I just felt like I had to say that because my follow-up link made no sense if you understood what the term meant.

Dumb question, but, in Megadimension, is there a way to respawn treasure chests? I was looking for ways to make money besides selling the Heart Dimension PR gear, and someone mentioned grinding a chest in the Smash Box level that had around 90k credits in it every time they had looted it.

Just sell that gear and get it back in NG+. Otherwise, you'll be grinding credits forever, because I'm pretty sure they don't respawn.

Yeah, the hidden chests that you get through Scouting are one-time only per playthrough. It's easy to get back to the same point in your playthrough through NG+; with tutorials auto-skipped and every story cutscene you've already seen skippable, you can get back easily in under 10 hours, even with re-fulfilling True End conditions. Heads up, GOG has Re; Birth 1 on sale right now for a good six dollars!

For some reason, that's also the only version that includes a palette swap for Compa and IF plus a costume that gives Neptune a pair of shorts.

It wasn't a Scout Chest, it was a regular one, just stuck behind a barrier that you needed the High Jump to get past. drat, I gotta do some colosseum grinding anyways to get my levels up/afford the PR upgrades.

the_steve posted:It wasn't a Scout Chest, it was a regular one, just stuck behind a barrier that you needed the High Jump to get past. Yeah, I'm still a bit sad there aren't random findables on the ground like the previous games. IIRC, only the destructible objects respawn, so you'll probably be at the grind for a while. If you know where the Big Metal Dogoo is, you can very easily shortcut the XP grind, at least. Dehry posted:For some reason, that's also the only version that includes a palette swap for Compa and IF plus a costume that gives Neptune a pair of shorts. The DENGEKI outfits don't look TOO bad, though the color scheme fits Peashy more, honestly. Not entirely worth it, but they're there at least.

They really did use much of the Omega Quintet's systems in this one, didn't they? The dungeon maps, the menus, the sounds even - I'm reasonably certain the engine is the same, too. The music is great and the game running as well as it does should not be a surprise after all the praise I had heard for it, but it really is - the last games being on the Vita probably didn't help performance, either. I don't really understand what the game-in-the-game is supposed to be, but I guess that'll become clear in time. Neptune finding a Dreamcast and not knowing what it was is an obvious joke in retrospect, but it's still funny.

Is there a way to make the grinding battles go a bit faster? I feel like I am spending too much time doing the same setup and tactic just to achieve a victory in two turns when it could have been one in a normal RPG and the cut-scenes take so long.

Either L2 or R2 will skip a given animation, I forget which button exactly. You can hold it down and make battles fly.
