I always thought dogs were ones always up for playing and always running around being energetic; I don't think that anymore. Depends on the dog. The German Shepard in my family absolutely loves to move around. Same with my landlords dog, super energetic and loves to play.

Dante80 posted:Thanks for that. I'm wondering whether Popehat (Ken) would be eager to write something about it..maybe as a part of the whole TOS system debate. I remember him doing an article on SC back in 2015. Also, the way they try to obfuscate the nature of the purchase by using "pledge" and the associated language would also strongly influence a court against CIG in any judgement. Just look at this list in the legislation and see if anything below might be in the new ToS: quote:25 Examples of unfair terms

One thing I'm seeing a lot is that people are claiming the original $6 Million funding goal was for SQ42. And that the persistent universe was added on later and why it's taking so long. Wasn't SQ42 a $40 million stretch goal?

Fat Shat Sings posted:I'm glad this guy is either Chris Roberts or a psychic since he knows information nobody could possible know. Citizens believe CIG will eventually hook up different landing zones, with procedural planets, space repair stations, FPS locations, derelict space wrecks, asteroid mining and still have those little pods you can play arena commander in. Currently CIG struggle to get enough players into an instance as a normal Overmatch game where they might get 20 FPS if lucky, the technology to seamlessly move between instances does not appear to exist, players type in chat begging others to come to the security outpost so they experience the joy of a combat system not one tenth as interesting as Quake, a game that's 20 years old and can run on a raspberry pi. Scientists have never been able to photograph this dog sans-blur. She is simply too energetic and demanding of scratches. Mika is a good dogge, and thread should like all cattes and dogges.

CIG/F42 will close up shop, lock the doors, CR/Sandi/Ortwin/Erin will flee to a non-extradition country. Some of the backers will go "you know, I'm starting to think it's possible the game won't be out as promised".

quote:The game itself remains without a release date—the general feeling being that it’ll be done when it’s done. Still, there’s confidence that it will, eventually, be done. In the years since the project's initial reveal there has been the constant worry that it might end up as vapourware—all stylish screenshots and video, but never making it to a final release. It’s a consequence of the team’s open development. Professional studios only reveal projects after years of work. Star Citizen has been in the wild since day one. Viewed this way, their progress in the last four years has been remarkable. I've doctored the quote by replacing just a handful of words and names. Can you guess what it was originally referring to? http://www.pcgamer.com/how-skywind-is-recreating-a-modern-classic/ That's right, a mod. A volunteer-driven mod. Whoever said earlier that Star Citizen's and CIG's evolution through the years follows the exact same steps a mod would've, was spot on. And it's a scary thought when you think about it - that a $100+ million project with hundreds of people is being defended by narratives that befit a free mod driven by a handful of volunteers.
