More seriously though, while just looking up attack animations on youtube is fun, i've never found the srw games very fun to play and have a hard time caring about their plot considering they're basically glorified crossover fanfiction. Because of that i'm one of the few people that actually cares more about OG than their licensed stuff, but even there it's a crossover of the original parts from the other games rather than a new story crafted for the game, which is what i'd prefer.

The goofy crossovers and alternate scenarios that happen as a result of e.g. Bright and Shinji meeting or whatever are the main reason I'm interested in mainline SRW games over the OG series, since I don't like super robots.

I can't deny they're a draw, but all the mecha stuff i like i also like for reasons other than the mechs.
