Worst Star Trek ever. Especially when they "broke the Warp 10 barrier," which would have required infinite energy and meant that they occupied every point in the the universe simultaneously.

Of course, after breaking the Warp 10 barrier, without infinite energy, the chief consequence was a crew member turning into a fish.

Edit

This post should be read as me making fun of myself for knowing all of this. Thanks.

One of the episodes where they're sending the doctor back to the alpha quadrant 7 of 9 is cutting useless extra poo poo out of his program and he gets all huffy and she's like "Do you really need your subroutines for boning??"

The Great Twist
I can't find any information that says the new TV series will take place in the JJTrek universe. In fact, several sources say it will be completely unrelated to the latest movie at least.

I'm curious, what time is it supposed to be set in, if it isn't JJTrek related? I've seen people talking about it being between Enterprise and TOS, and between TOS and TNG, but I haven't found much more.

Autographs are some creepy and so are the people that want them.

Just shout some verbal abuse at him from a distance and snap his reaction. Far more modern and civilized. Plus you could easily make $55 yourself if he gets angry enough to get on TMZ.

Insanely, that's not even the dumbest part of that episode. That consequence was trivial for the doctor to reverse. They never consider just going for it and just having the doctor fix them. Or putting the crew in a status field which would by definition prevent them from changing. Or auto piloting the shuttlecraft to place a chain of transporter boosters so they could just beam back to the alpha quadrant at warp 9.99999. Or working out a shield or something to protect them.

It would be like if someone invented a panacea that could cure every cancer but it turns out made your skin kind of dry so you'd have to moisturise every day so the entire project is totally abandoned

:agreed:

The only time it would make sense would be if you had a real prop phaser or something and wanted to get a few signatures on it.

Insurrection is weird in that it's not actually bad necessarily, but there is no reason for it to be it's own film. It's just a normal episode of the show but it takes twice as long to play out and has higher production values.

the real reason it's unlikely that it would be related to jjtrek is because cbs and paramount are two separate entities and they each have their own section of the star trek franchise

if it's movies, paramount owns it
