We went on a road trip last month and wanted to renew our in car xm. Called and they told us something like $99.99 for 6 months. My wife actually laughed on the phone call and told the rep we only needed it for a month then we were cancelling again. We ended up with a year for $29.99 How the company still makes money I have no clue.

If you are willing to pay full price and not call to complain, great, if not, they try their best to keep you at a very cut rate price. Think about it, they already spent a ton building the infrastructure, and maintaining it and paying people takes a decent amount as well. However, transmitting the audio to you through the satellites and dedicated servers for On Demand costs very little. So in the end, the more the merrier, keep as many people as possible for whatever you can get out of them. That's why their automatic new car subscriptions are so lucrative - they can tout numbers like 30 million subscribers because most car makers are allowing them to put a radio and sub into every one of their new vehicles... and people do test it, get sucked in because of convenience, and keep the service. It's actually became a really profitable business following the merger/2008 recession, and it's not much different than how the cable companies operate with subscriptions.

My god. The Lady Di Internship Saga remains one of the best things. I know I've already mentioned that in this thread, but I'm re-listening to it. Lady NYEHHHHH and water buffaler both in the first day. Just gold. Oh, and Pedro Pascal played off her so loving well. She was just such a buffoon and he was so happy in engaging her and all. Round and round she goes.... Have I been that blind? I've become my father. He was known back in the 60s as a hardhat...(a name given to construction workers and individuals who were opposed to the hippie movement of the day). Back then there was a ton of civil unrest. Young people were in the process of a revolution. College kids mostly. They were peacefully protesting and trying to fundamentally change "the establishment" on issues ranging from civil rights, the war, taxation, the economy...etc. I was around 10 in '69 so it was more appealing to me to align myself with the peace loving, modern music embracing, bead wearing, long haired, pot smoking side of that particular struggle. Much to the chagrin of my Dad. My Mom being more liberal in thought and action was somewhat supportive of my 10yr old limited understanding viewpoint. From back as far as I can remember I was always aware of just how much people from all over the world wanted to come live in the United States of America. Freedom, although not in the true sense of the word, was here. Freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom from religious persecution, freedom to live a life without The problems they faced in the countries they were leaving. Many early immigrants faced long arduous dangerous journey to reach our shores. they learned how to ingratiate themselves, how to assimilate into our culture, and while retaining some elements of their own culture , they learned how to become Americans. They wanted to be known as Americans. They knew that they would owe America a debt of gratitude and more importantly, they would owe America their allegiance. This wasn't something that the immigrants of the day saw as a chore, it was their duty. It was giving back for what the USA gave to them: Hope, a future, and a fresh start in a beautiful place to live, raise their children, work and thrive. I say that I've turned into my Father because he was of the "America, love it or leave it" generation. The greatest generation.. The WWII, fought against communism, fought for Democracy and to preserve the American way of life generation. We've grown up as a nation folks. The formerly rebellious college aged peace loving hippies are now in their 60-70's. They're now the Hillary Clintons, Bernie Sanders' and Barrack Obamas of the world, and they're continuing their rebellion from "the inside". I no longer align myself with them, and I'll tell you why: I'VE GROWN UP. I now see how they're going about completing the VERY revolution and fundamental transformation of the "original values" that they began all by themselves back in the '60's. They've now become the enablers. The protagonists that have sold their harmful and destructive ideals and agendas to the disenfranchised youth of today. They pander and preach to the underprivileged, the weak, the lazy, the hopeless, and the easily swayed, in return for their votes, their youthful exuberance, reckless abandon, willingness to get their hands dirty, their unity in numbers on campus, and to finish what wasn't completed when THEY first attempted it 50+yrs ago... The hippie ideology was acceptable to me at 10 yrs old, but when you've matured and can see the world as the lovely place it can be, you become incensed with people pissing on our flag in our streets, shouting for death to Americans in our cities, rioting, looting and killing in the name of radical this, and radical that... Hippies embraced and supported the radical arms of their struggle.. The Black Panther Party, The Weather underground, SDS, yippies, etc... Make no mistake, THEY STILL DO...Only the names have changed: BLM...NOI...Etc. And I don't like it... I have become my Father, and I'm proud of it. Only time will tell whether or not USA will survive this assault on the very fabric it was made from. I have to believe that sanity will prevail and that there are enough people who see things the way I do to counter this modern day coup attempt. Political over-correctness, Obama's desire to live out and bring to fruition his fathers Democracy loathing pro-Socialist/Communist ideals, hillary's overall ineptitude, and Bernie's desire to turn our economy into another Greece can only be stopped by one man. Desperate measures for desperate times. #Trump2016

I, personally, enjoy the 'I've never voted in 40 years and just now have really, really important things to say about politics also the electoral college = party delegates whaaaaaat' the most. Well, no, I don't enjoy it at all because it means he's still breathing. Ol' SAMCRO Joe needs to take a permanent dirt nap so that the average IQ jumps a few points and everyone else's votes are very slightly more important.

Joe Cumia has always been my absolute most hated person in the O&A universe. Even from years ago when he'd call in occasionally, it was always cringe inducing. He has about the same level of self-awareness as Bobo, except that Bobo is awesome and Joe is not. I don't really care about all the little brigades that the fans involve themselves in nowadays, but I'm always happy when the focus is on Joe. "Guilty By Association" ugh what a loving corny douche

I don't know if anyone's been listening, but Big Jay and Soder have gotten a lot better at radio recently. The last few episodes of the Bonfire have been funny as gently caress. Or maybe it's just because I've been listening at work and that place can make an orphanage shooting seem hilarious in comparison.

In the film Red Dawn, the Eckert brothers are Charlie Sheen and Patrick Swayze. They fight the reds nobly with hunting rifles and stolen gear and their friends.
