Someone was rough translating from Korean in an /a/ thread but got annoyed by waifuposting so they gave it up, but from the look of it, it's the right island. At least, the party identifies them as Skellig Island wizards/witches.

I just noticed in those notes about Berserk Musou:quote:First print incentive is an extra costume for Casca drenched in water. Of all the things to focus on with Berserk Dynasty Warriors that's... not what I would have chosen. Start with the gratuitous violence surely? Even if you want to touch the dark sexual stuff, you build up to that. But comes across like they're almost more interested in that stuff than guts' sword or how many dudes he kills. Seems backwards.

For sure, but even if you're comfortable with sexuality, things like rape are still a bit uncomfortable and taboo no? That's a whole other bag. That's sexual-violence, not just sex. And this is the Dynasty Warriors series. Clearly they've managed to get over the violence thing. Its expected from the series.

I feel like they just don't have a cohesive art style of their own. That's what stood out to me on the last trailer. They're trying to ape a hand drawn look for some things and CG texturing for others and it just doesn't work. The Musou people at least have their own style and pipeline in place outside copying the manga.

The CG studio doing Berserk seems pretty new. I don't think the anime looks that bad, and trying to shoot the game models in a "film" way would probably reveal a lot of the weaknesses of the game models/animation, but the musou studio has also been doing what they do for a long time.

I hope the game does actually look as good as those screenshots but they look way better than the average Musou game, Arslan Warriors looked like rear end and it still has PS3 and Vita versions

The graphic style reminds me more of Dark Souls than Musou, which is appropriate for Berserk. Hopefully they mix up the Musou formula quite a bit and make this a proper Berserk game. Only a short bit of gameplay but looking very promising. Guts killin' dudes

Really hope there's dismemberment in the actual game though. Otherwise just causing gouts of blood and knocking enemies back would get rather dull.

You can see Trolls being chopped apart in the trailer. I wouldn't bet on it for humans, unless they add it for the english language versions.

Choppin' up trolls. This is already looking like a good game. They said they're going to cover the Golden Age arc, then move forward, so my money's on them covering everything in the manga from the beginning up to the founding of Falconia.
