anyway i'm almost done with the game now, i'm on the last level, and i've just realized that i don't really like how you get gear in this it was awesome in zero 3, cause every disk could be a rad new equip that would give you a useful situational ability--though more often than not they were just lore or enemy or boss details--but in zero 4 you have to grind together materials to create gear and it means the game pretty much forces you to revisit levels, which puts back an irritating damper on the pace of the game that zero 3 just fixed at its core, zero 4 is still really loving good, because it's essentially more zero 3, but some of the stuff around that core feels a bit weaker and some of the levels are honestly less fun to play with the self-imposed challenges that are required for gaining ex skills. not most of them, but a couple of them just feel kind of annoying

myriad colors is pretty much just a goofy comedy with some fanservice, some of the jokes land some of them don't, 6/10 only it's also the best animation to ever exist so it becomes like 8/10
