It's a Corsair-X, they MSRP for $850 without graphics. They are handmade, very light, and comfortable. It's worth the cost, mine (wasn't a corsair-x but still an Arai) let me walk away from 70mph to the head with a mild concussion.

Fair enough, the markup isn't as bad as I thought.

Got my catback installed the other day. Don't know if I actually gained any power but the car does feel a little better at higher rpms. This is how the car should have sounded from the factory. At idle it has just a bit more bass than stock, but it doesn't get too loud until you put your foot down. Even then it's a nice mellow tone that's more than sufficient for daily driving and not getting yelled at by cops. It does drone a bit when engine braking but not enough to be an issue. It will get louder once I replace the downpipe, but that's a ways off since that requires an upgraded rear engine mount and Flashpro

E: Hard to find any decent videos of these on 9th gens. Might have to make my own

I'm pretty happy with the quality, the welds looked great and the fitment was spot on. Bolted right together with no trouble and no leaks, the 3 piece design makes it pretty easy to install. Getting the old exhaust off was the hardest part, even though my car is 3 years old and originally from Texas, the bolts put up a hell of a fight. It was pretty steep at $500 but I had a good night at the casino so I decided to blow my wad on shiny pipes.

Invidia did make a mistake and sent me a Q300 for a Toyobaru BRZ-S86 but the vendor I bought it through got things worked out and had a replacement shipped before I even got the RMA to return the wrong one.

I have a complete APEXi Noir (basically a black coated WS2) and eBay catless downpipe for a 06-11 Civic Si Coupe I bought to cut up if you want to try to make it fit. The rear 'muffler' section looks the same for coupe vs sedan, but there is some more piping on the resonator and the front section is shorter and separate. I just bought all new bolts for it too!

I didn't pay much for it, and don't want much for it either!

Id buy it but I'm honestly probably going to be moving on from this car to get a small truck (ranger probably) or something next year. I've got the 2 wheeled bug pretty bad, and I'd like to get a truck for winter/carting bikes and stuff around.

Arai seem baller, but its tough to justify a $1k helmet imo.

F4i news: Got PR4s, adjustable levers, oil change, and tank grips done. Bike rides like a loving beast. Tank grips in particular helped a lot, Im a short dude and was having a lot of leverage issues with the new-to-me aggresive riding position.

Civic Si news: On my way to buy said PR4 tires, hit some sort of chair (that had already been annhilated down to its wire/spring frame) on the freeway at about 80 mph. My already hosed up paint on my bumper cover is totally demolished, it broke the honda symbol on the grille, and scratched the headlight. Debating on making an insurance claim on it, this car has so many dents and dings now that I have given up on it aesthetically. Its been a magnet for fuckheads opening doors into it, sideswiping it while parked on the street, and now attracts road furniture as well.

Frustrating, as it keeps losing resale value as it collects more scars. Mechanically its been perfectly reliable, AC still not working properly though.

I try to keep my s2k off the interstate as much as humanly possible because of this kind of poo poo. There's always something that wasn't properly secured just waiting to gently caress up my day. Also the rocks. It doesn't even have 9000 miles and there are way too many chips on the front end from them already.

Yeah. This car never had good paint, it was part of the generation of super lovely Honda paint that they ended up doing warranty repaints for. But the window for repaints is long gone and the PO never did it. I alwasy assumed I would wrap it, I just didnt think i would end up having to replace a bunch of body panels and doors first, lol.

Also, it cant tow a bike trailer, which makes me sad. I guess 100 ft-lb of torque has its downfalls.

The 9th gens aren't any better, I've already got lots of rock chips, and then sometime in the last few days some wonderful person used my trunk and spoiler as a spot to rest something and left some nice gouges when they slid it back off. I nailed what was left of a box spring (I think) on the highway a few weeks back, doing ~75.

Cracked the side skirt, blew 2 tires, bent a wheel, and scratched up the fender and bumper. :sigh:

I'm trying to get an idea of what I want to replace my TDI with when it gets bought back and my s2k has left a pretty good impression on me in regards to NA Honda 4 cylinders. The 8th and 9th gen sedans both interest me and it looks like they'd work for me as long as I threw a roof rack on top. I really shouldn't drive the s2k to go test drive DD replacements but I figured it was not the worst idea to do so for this. The K24 has noticeably more torque down low. VTEC engagement isn't anywhere near as noticeable as as the F22 and the engine doesn't quite pull to redline like I thought it would. Not a bad experience by any stretch of the imagination and I could see myself living with one on a daily basis. Gonna have to track down a clean, stock 8th gen to drive to compare.

The 8th gens are much more Honda-like, they definitely have more pull in the top end. I find it easy to hit the limiter in my '13 because I want to just keep winding it out, but there's that pesky fuel cut at 7,200rpm. You will also notice the difference in torque between the two, the K24 makes 35ft lbs more nearly 2,500 rpm sooner. I've had mine for 5 months now and I'm really happy with it, I'm about that :rice: life so I went with the coupe but even it has a surprising amount of cargo space. VTEC also engages a lot smoother on the K24Z7 due to the way the car is tuned from the factory. I like the dash layout of the 9th gens because it's so over the top and makes you feel like you're piloting a fighter jet (seriously, play Highway to the Danger Zone and you'll find yourself driving like a real dickhead). The bluetooth features and the display are nice too, I don't think the 8ths had that stuff so that might be something to consider.

The 9th gen is definitely something I could live with. More usable powerband for a DD, relatively nice inside, etc... It did feel like I was driving an old Lumina van with how far away the gauges/front of the dash felt. As I said, I'm sure you get used to it, it's just weird at first. My biggest issue is that the Fiesta ST I drove the next day basically poo poo all over it as far as fun to drive factor goes. Don't drive one of you're not really looking to get rid of what you're already driving.

Owner of a 2013 Si Sedan here, I highly recommend. It's been a great daily, I average about 33-34 MPG. The K24 is not as high strung as the K20, but I like the fact that it has more low end torque. The shifter is perfect. The car is still plenty fast when you open it up and get into the VTAAAK.

My only minor complaint is that the ride can be stiff at times, but that's to be expected with the Si.

I couldn't stomach dropping 1000+ bux into the AC issues I was having and sitting in rush hour traffic for hours a day was really taking its toll.

If anyone is interested in fa5 parts, I've got a bunch. Space valve cover, adjustable rear arms, camber bolts, 2009 shifter assembly, tein green lowering springs, ball joints, front arms with poly bushings installed. Let me know via PM.
