haha I'm soooo surprised that here, in this thread solely for laughing at people getting hurt, a few posts are from MONSTER PSYCHOS who don't care if other people die. It's important to me, as a person, that I distinguish myself as one of the good, sane posters in the Schadenfreude thread Christ...... this shouldn't be funny...... he could've been.... I took a door off a parked car when driving a tabletop ute years ago. Damage to my car was zero, door hit the tabletop's front edge. Driver was lucky his hand was not on the door jamb or that would have gone also. Quite a scene, I was blamed by the driver. He called the cops while his car door was lying on the road. Pretty funny to look at. Cops said I wasn't at fault though. Years later I was doored by a parker on my bicycle. Car driver says its my fault. Then fucks off. Car doors & parking is a dangerous business.

So I only came across this just now. I'm only vaguely aware about the whole CS:Go weapon skins market etc. but it turns out people have been gambling using skins for the last few years. Two of the biggest youtubers who posted loads of videos of them gambling and winning on one of these lotto sites... which it later turned out that they owned. The best is when they show the vlog of one of these youtubers (who had already been in trouble with the FTC before) and he looks like he's about to cry as he's trying to run damage control. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8fU2QG-lV0 It should be mentioned that running what is essentially a casino and gambling in it yourself is pretty much the biggest no no in gambling, let alone basically running adverts for it without disclosing your interest. Also making no real effort to stop under aged people gambling. NLJP has a new favorite as of 17:10 on Jul 4, 2016 |

Probably trying to stop short to avoid the dog and forgetting about momentum. That and yes, sometimes fat people just trip over themselves. I saw a lady do that in a grocery store parking lot once and wail in pain -- must have broken her ankle or something She wasn't wearing heels, either -- just a random misstep and boom. They had to call paramedics and everything; she couldn't move.

Yeah, it's absolutely possible. Could have also been that she snagged a small root or a rock that was mostly embedded in the ground, an easy thing to do on a dirt road like that. My running and falling down on a dirt road story is that I ran full tilt into an old rusty steel cable hanging across a red mud dirt road. Ran into it neck-first and looked like someone tried to strangle me for like a week before the bruise healed. Sucks I don't have video for it, because it would be perfect for the thread.

Sorry, but could someone give me the low-down on how Chris Evans has blown it on Top Gear as someone who isn't familiar with the show? Just from his photo he looks like a shriveled little nerd, so it makes sense people wouldn't want to watch him talk about cool cars, but is he also like super awkward or boring or something?

Just from his photo he looks like a shriveled little nerd, so it makes sense people wouldn't want to watch him talk about cool cars, but is he also like super awkward or boring or something? Basically, despite Jeremy Clarkson's rather black personality (a lot of his jokes are fairly racist and sexist in nature), his chemistry with the rest of the Top Gear him - as well as his writing for the series - did wonders for how watchable the show is. He knew when to let others take front stage, his reviews could make or break a car's reputation, etc. Chris Evans doesn't have any of that with the crew, has a reputation for being a little weasel, and despite pledging to remove the aforementioned sexism from TG his humour basically amount to fantasies about kissing Taylor Swift. He also KEEPS SHOUTING A LOT TO MAKE UP FOR A LACK OF INTERESTING DIALOGUE. Clarkson and co grew Top Gear over a fairly long period of time. Chris Evans has dived in at the deep end and apparently assumed fame and glory would be his.

That, and a lot of people seemed to be expecting it to be immediately as entertaining as it used to be and don't want to give him time to settle in. If you go back to early TG (even with Clarkson, Hammond & May), a lot of the episodes were really dull. I think when May first joined the first thing he did was twenty minutes driving around slowly in a Rolls Royce saying how lovely and calming it was. If he'd tried to change the formula too much, he would have been criticised, and by not changing it enough he was also criticised. I actually thought it was generally okay. Not as good as the original but I wasn't expecting that in the first series, but it wasn't terrible by any means.

Is it like an auction? The keys aren't the only way money is involved, though. The key lets you open up a random black box to get a skin for a weapon or something like that, and some of those skins have very low chances of appearing. People with way more money than sense are willing to pay literally hundreds (thousands?) of real dollars for particular rare ones. The rare skin isn't locked to your account until you actually decide to use it - if you let it sit unused, it's an item in your steam inventory. It also happens to be tradeable, which means you can sell it on the steam marketplace for the previously mentioned giant stack of money (via a steam gift card). Incidentally, that's why you always see ads in SAMart for people offering discounts on steam games; they sold some rare items, have a huge cash balance on steam, and will use their gift card balance to buy you a game in exchange for paypal

Sure I buy that expecting miracles from day one is a bit much, but Chris' first reaction to criticism was to start screaming on Twitter and just get in endless slapfights about why he's right. He made his own bed really. Either way his career's probably hosed now, given he's being investigated for alleged sexual assault.

Hopefully this means they can give the others more screentime.
