That Part is pretty great, I think as a lead single (it is the lead single, right?) it lacks a bit of the infectious/anthemic nature that you probably would want.

I guess it is or something,

Because to me It's far and away the second best album that's dropped this decade.

I dig this. BONES has slowed up his releases, right? This is only the 2nd project he's put out this year? That's smart in terms of quality control and over saturation.

Also, I was never huge on GKMC. H&C has very few skits and they're short. And I really love that they sampled Portishead for Raymond 1969.

he's had a couple shows where he was headlining or on late where he's been bumped because of delays so that's not the worst option

I thought GKMC was one of the very, very few times a rap album was improved by its skits. I mean, its an album that tells a story and I feel like most of that would be lost without them

I agree, they really tied the whole thing together. The only one I didn't care for was the long preachy prayer towards the end.

The Gucci Clone thing is the funniest conspiracy theory. Also, this video makes me realize how little Gucci doesn't wear glasses in his videos.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek. But skits can gently caress up flow and a lot try to be funny w/o being funny etc etc. Unskippable is the worst.

thathonkey
Jul 17, 2012
i didnt mind the skits on gkmc at all but sequencing the album so you cant skip them is irritating and pretentious and you just know kdot wanted it that way and thought it was a great idea. i like him a lot but he needs to let his music speak for itself.
