The first thing they released from "Is Survived By" was the instrumental lead-in to Nonfiction, so I'm OK with it.

On the bright side I ordered the new suis la lune split. I hope it's good. What the hell is a die cut sleeve.

No one raving about the 2.5 hour set Bane put on for their final show?

It was intense.

I like Bane and they're fun live but 2.5 hours of them or any other single hardcore band sounds like torture.

Hi punk thread.

I play bass in a band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are called The Right Here. It's twangy punk rock, like if Roger Miller and Merle Haggard went to shows at CBGB instead of hanging out in Nashville. We play a lot of punk shows, we all love punk music, and wrote this album called Stick To The Plan. Here's a link to the album on bandcamp, just gotta scroll down a bit to get to the whole album. It would be really cool to know what you all think about it.

Thanks, punk thread! :glomp:

Hey, I know you from ML! I'm loving this stuff, it's hitting all my buttons. If you guys come out to the Eastern Seaboard, let me know and we'll set up a show. If you weren't already on a label, I'd try to pinch you for ours.

On that note, time for me to make a similar post! My band, Blinding Eye Dog, is finally about to put out our third album, The Dundalk Horror - or, as I've been calling it, "Chinese Dundalkracy" since we first went into the studio fifteen months ago. We do a mix of old-school punk, metal (without the hard parts), cosmic horror, and dick jokes. And we do it in costume. I'm the idiot in the lab coat.

Our singer wanted to keep everything secret until we actually released the album, for... some reason. Maybe he thinks we're NIN or Tool. I think the luchadore mask has been cutting off oxygen to his brain, personally. But I talked him into letting me share one song before release, so here it is: https://soundcloud.com/blinding-eye-dog/reanimated

So I'd like to know where to send it for reviews and play! Unlike the last album, where I'd been in the band six months and only contributed a couple songs, I wrote 13 out of 19 tracks on this one (if you count the ten-second secret song) and I want to do everything I can to get it noticed. Where do you guys go to find out about new bands? Websites? Zines? Podcasts? I've got a ZIP file of the whole thing ready to share with anyone who wants to review it.... or just curious goons if you liked what you heard and want more.

Just don't tell the fat guy in the wrestling mask I gave it to you.
