A poster in this thread works for a pollster and said that a large number of Trump voters would just yell Trump! And hang up the phone. Their votes were not counted since they didn't complete the poll.

So Trump was originally releasing the convention speaker schedule yesterday but decided to wait until today to do it so it would not take away from Hillary's email drama. But today he asked Ted Cruz to speak at the convention (although Joementum pointed out that he gets to speak no matter what since his name will be in the nomination process). Trump cannot do anything right without looking like a fool.

I don't know anything about anything but it sure seems like Cruz would obviously want to speak at the convention, not just because he's still a "live" candidate but because he'll be in front of those hundreds of Cruz delegates with an opportunity to fire them up at exactly the right time. It's clear he's as "burn it all down" as Trump. Also I'm shuddering thinking what it means that listening to Ted Cruz deliver an oration would get anybody fired up.
