I have no issue with the halo in principle, and am in favour of driver safety... but wouldn't that big honking bar slapped on top of the car ruin a lot of the meticulous aero work done?

The team principles press was hilarious, sebs gearbox broke in FP2 and the mercs got their dicks out, nico's care pissed itself during Fp2 and they spent the whole session fixing it for no reason because it was a practice engine. Kvyat took his front wing out on the kerbs at one point. It's going to be a boring parade.

I'm catching up on the drivers press conference while at work right now and I'm amazed at the amount of times Lewis has had to not answer a question because of the contracts that Merc must have made the drivers sign after the Austrian GP crash. I'm not even half way through and he's mentioned he can't answer questions like 3 times. Dear Toto: please bench both drivers for a race, or individually for alternating races, and elevate mind games to the extreme. What kind of questions was Lewis not allowed to answer? About the incident? Or whether he and Nico are still great friends and hang out by the pool?

Wait I got it. Do what red bull did. Crash again, both drivers get demoted to manor. Do the contracts state that they have to drive for Mercedes or that they get a race seat I wonder?
