Yep. The tenor of praise for US troops isn't their skill- McCain gets praised for getting shot down, many men get praised for getting wounded.

There are people that certainly did, and probably do. Just as much as there are people who recoil in horror at what the German war machine did. Seeing as how I am from the only country to hold the title of "back to back World War champion" my view is of course screw them hooray us.

Don't get me started on John "My War Boner Is Lasting More Than Four Hours" McCain that guy should be the last person calling for young Americans to go to war anytime something pisses him off. Really you'd think a guy that went through being a POW would see how loving stupid war is.

I live in an Open Carry state but have never seen anyone open carry.

I'm glad because if I was walking through the store and saw someone with an AR-15 slung across their back and with a magazine in it, the temptation to sneak up on them, flick the safety and just start pulling the trigger while we engage in a Three Stooges like slapstick routine of them trying to turn around and me trying to stay behind them while still pulling the trigger would be too great.

You keep pointing this out thinking we are getting mad that you do, we arent. Its makes me hard every time and esp. when you post pictures.

I have lived in Ohio for 3 years where its open carry and ive NEVER seen someone do it, and I don't just sit in my moms basement everyday, I work and do things out and about and hike and do poo poo outside and all over the city. Not once have I ever seen a gun that wasn't on a cops hip.

No it's not surprising. Even here in Texas where it's very popular to be in support of nearly unrestricted gun rights, it's still weird to walk around a grocery store or a mall with a long gun. It's self evidently loving weird if you even think about it for a second. Lots of people in gun rights states support the political ideas there, but relatively few would walk around in public with a gun themselves. It's sort of like the people who hate the idea of taxing the rich because someday they might be rich even though they're dirt poor now. A lot of people want the rights to do something they'd absolutely never loving do and would be actively freaked out by someone else doing in proximity. This is the prevailing attitude in Texas.
