I occasionally GIS the people in Ripley's to see what the real thing looks like compared to the drawing and I distinctly remember doing a GIS for one of these gold shirt guys. I'm pretty sure it was the first guy, Pankaj Parakh. If true, that would make today at least the third time Ripley's posted about a golden shirt wearing Indian man. It's possible it was Datta Phuge I was thinking of, though, and I'm misremembering.

Interesting that Parakh's shirt is the most expensive at $213,000, when Phuge's was $235,000. I guess I'll have to file one of these stories under Not Believed.
