I occasionally GIS the people in Ripley's to see what the real thing looks like compared to the drawing and I distinctly remember doing a GIS for one of these gold shirt guys. I'm pretty sure it was the first guy, Pankaj Parakh. If true, that would make today at least the third time Ripley's posted about a golden shirt wearing Indian man. It's possible it was Datta Phuge I was thinking of, though, and I'm misremembering. Interesting that Parakh's shirt is the most expensive at $213,000, when Phuge's was $235,000. I guess I'll have to file one of these stories under Not Believed. The Amazing Spider-Man Sally Forth The Heart of Juliet Jones Eve. Prince Valiant Phantom Classic Aww, I didn't like this story the first time. Big Ben Bolt I do like this story, though. IRL these crooks would be up poo poo creek with no paddle. Thankfully, this is fiction!

They are two different dudes with different shirts. The newer one is heavier, so maybe it's just from shift in the gold market?

That's the one I was remembering, thanks! Really didn't want to dig through the 20 pages of my posts in the last megathread to find the mysterious gold shirt repeat.

I've liked HLTS as a solid blend of comedy and good-will in a sea of Nancy and 9CL and homicidal-yet-also-dull old women from the 1900s comics. Is there anything we can do to show the author of the comic some appreciation?
