Remember that kerfuffle earlier this year when she showed up unannounced at the Florida Orange Fair (or some crap like that) and the Trump camp quickly put out a press release that Governor Palin was ill and flying home... then she turned up randomly to give an unpublicised talk to an empty tent a few hours later. Seemed like Trump wanted Palin to go away as quietly as possible. After she channelled Yosemite Sam in her endorsement speech even Trump must have realised that she's a wacko.

Both the list in the NYT story and the one released by the RNC are partial lists, subject to change. Trump is, above all else, a showman. I bet you there'll be a surprise guest or two at the event.

All these polls that have Trump gaining in the margin are just Hillary falling while Trump stands still at 40-ish. Basically if you're a Trump supporter you have to hope that people stay exactly as mad about the emails thing as they are right now, and 40-40 or whatever represents the actual (record low) November turnout.
