Ren brought his foldable table all the way from Taiwan. KOF13 is really stacked, although everyone seems out of training. Stream's more stable now, too.

Saoshyant posted:KOF13 stream is so poverty it hurts. FWIW, back at Combo Breaker nobody gave a poo poo about KOF XIII. All the KOF players were either playing KOF XIV or 2002. The game doesn't seem to have staying power. Every KOF that isn't 2002 is too slow to me. FanaticalMilk posted:Games are always gonna look their slowest when they first start coming out. Looking at early Marvel 3 matches, that game looked much slower than current matches. This is true.

I'm incredibly amused that middle school students who Momochi teaches are going to win their pools. Legion of Momochi.

I'm surprised that Melty has had so much staying power. Sure it's always been viewed as a "poverty game". But its hold that somewhat relevant status for over a decade.

Aww, Keoma is out. Pity, even though he's nowhere as close to the dominant force in SFV as he was in 4. Sucks that he only made it to EVO this year, after trying to go three years in a row.

I'm almost certain that Spooky started out as a Melty Blood streamer. It has power.

He really helped raise its profile. It also helps that the community for Melty is crazy devoted and will rep the game however they can. Personally I'm just glad AACC got the steam release as before that the only way to legitimately get the latest PC version was through a crazy Japan-only Type-moon spinoff boxset!

Is there any place to see the brackets updated as people play? I know some pools already happened and I"m curious about results. I found http://evo2016.s3.amazonaws.com/brackets/ as an official source but it's not getting updated.
