I wasn't planning on picking a wing next so it's up to VJeff and iatb to ruin it for you There's also only maybe one or two guys left that I'd give a poo poo about drafting, and it's probably at least a round or two early for either imo Teemu Pokemon fucked around with this message at 02:53 on Jul 16, 2016 |

Philadelphia selects defenceman Ryan Murray. Pretty happy to be landing him in the 7th round, all things considered. He had a bit of a rough year last season, but his fancystats were really good the two previous years, and his play did improve after Seth Jones got paired up with him. Murray has top pairing potential and still had plenty of time to develop. For now, I'm perfectly happy letting him anchor the second pairing. Eriksson - Stamkos - Smith ??????? - Trocheck - ?????? Barrie - Klefbom ????? - Murray Infidel Castro fucked around with this message at 16:56 on Jul 16, 2016 |

Ok, I think I'm taking a risk here with regards to age and money (especially considering he's going to be a 35 year old UFA next season), but I don't think I can pass up the opportunity to take a guy, who in my mind, is probably the best scoring winger still available. So with that in mind, the SHARKS SHARKS SHARKS select Patrick Sharp It's awesome because he can play all 3 forward positions, so I can either stack my top line with him on the LW, or more likely, let him the be trigger vet on my Speedy Young Gunz line X-Crosby-Nyquist Kreider-Larkin-Sharp McDonagh-X Martinez-X VJeff x2 (skipped) Yaya JoelJoel Menamino

I've already used about 40% (over 40 when we find out whatever Kreider's contract turns out to be) of my cap on 7 guys and none of them are Jimmy Howard, Justin Abdelkader, or Jonathan Ericsson so suck my loving dick Holland you jackass

i am the bird posted:I'm aiming for a slightly better team than Edmonton. We're in year one of our rebuild. You're already way better than Edmonton with Muzzin/Niskanen. Youth isn't applicable when you talk about McDavid unless your point of reference is Crosby or like Kane who went to the finals in their third years. Silfverberg is who he is at this point, a solid 2nd line scoring winger, but Drouin/Draisaitl are both poised for huge years next season, I like those picks. If you get a real goalie that could easily be a solid playoff team.

Silfverberg was going to be my pick before I decided to gamble on Radulov. Anyways, Edmonton's starting goaltender will be Jake Allen. Young, has a lot of promise, and is a cap friendly option at goalie unlike so many others. I had another goalie in mind but decided to go with the slightly younger option. JoelJoel and VJeff are up.

Dallas Stars select Kyle Palmieri. gently caress your goalies and defenders. This league is all about GOALS. The darling of New Jersey, Palmieri don't give a poo poo about your back-checking, he just wants to score GOALS. What wins games? GOALS! 30 GOALS? No problem. i'll take Mike Cammalleri Guy produces everywhere he goes, even on the Devils. Gets hurt every year but in this fantasy world my owner is willing to spend on top of the line training facilities and smoothies to keep Cammy in the lineup for 70+ games. Maybe. Good fancies too that rounds out my top 6 of Marchand - Tavares - Ehlers Cammalleri - Brassard - Kucherov Tanev gently caress defense, my team will be entertaining no matter what tofes is up

furnace face gets skipped, I'm basically flipping a coin between a wing and a center - the Florida Panthers select Martin Hanzal. he's missed a lot of time but when he plays he's a great 5v5 producer and his fancy stats are in line with a pretty dang good 2c. having another good center who can generate his own offense is also going to make it easier for me to build up 3 scoring lines because I believe I can still get valuable wingers over these next few rounds mentholmoose is up Hoffman-Duchene-Duclair x-Backlund-x x-Hanzal-x Hedman-Lindholm

Ok, I'll take Sam Bennett and say gently caress defensemen. I'm not sure if he's going to stick at center, so for now I'll throw him on a line with Backstrom. I am back now and not sure how this guy is still available so Calgary takes Mathieu Perreault because he can play all 3 positions and I can drop him down to second line if I get another young winger to replace him on the first line. Perreault-Fabbri-Perry Ekblad-Keith Hjalmarsson-X Crawford

Perreault absolutely rules but if he's on your first line along with Fabbri, you're not going to be a playoff team. You should be picking forwards for your next six picks.
