Oh, the OregonLive article on Fry's outburst also said he has expressed a desire to be reincarnated as a woman. He wants this because he think it would "be easier". Not that Fry was at all popular with these guys already but more or less declaring that you're a transexual isn't making him any more popular.

Anyway let's just forget any of that poo poo just happened. One of Fry's reasons for wanting pretrial release is that he has a 15 year old dog who probably won't live too much longer, and wants to be able to spend time with it. This is really the only thing that makes me feel for him at all. Of course this begs the question of where the dog was when he ran off to touch dicks with LaVoy, and the rest of the family was on vacation.

On one hand, these guys probably consider themselves the kind of rugged individualists who went out and tamed the wild west, and probably view themselves the same way. With an added layer of MURICA and CONSTITUTION on top of it.  On the other hand, they end up doing a lot of the same lovely things said wild western settlers did too. But they're too busy  ing at the government to realize that, as bad as they're going to get it from the feds, they would have been been simply strung up or shot in the wilderness ages ago in that particular time period. Partly for being so useless. But mostly because they tended to not tolerate cattle rustlers, claim jumpers or water thieves.
