Sinnoh had a lot of cool intricate routes with multiple paths and secrets, but it also had 8 HMs, so it's a bit of a wash. If they're willing to change things up a bit more than the remakes historically have, going back there could be excellent.

The snow routes were worth it for the cool winter wear they gave the characters in Platinum.

There's absolutely nothing of interest anywhere in the whole region except Faris, Prance (which is needlessly big and filled with a lot of nothing to explore) and some dumb landmarks. To be fair, though, I'm pretty sure Kalos is meant to be a pallet-cleanser to introduce people to a 3D handheld Pokemon overworld. Sort of like setting the standard for other, better regions in the future to surpass.

I for one hated gen 4 until HG/SS came out, and then it owned. Sinnoh wasn't a bad region compared to Kalos but the speed at which everything moved was so much slower than the GBA games that I got this feeling gamefreak had started phoning it in, which I didn't really shake off until B/W. Curiously I've gotten the same feeling for some parts of Gen 6; I'm sad that we've once again gone from a super slick generation that ran at high framerates and looked great in battle to a technically superior but aesthetically garbage successor. Maybe Sun/Moon will be like Gen 5, a dramatic improvement on the same hardware.

Dreadlocks horse is fabulous Super cool seeing a new Water/Bug type, hopefully it'll keep the typing upon evo this time I can't believe there's a Pokémon based on a lei, that's awesome Berry Pokémon reminds me a lot of Cherubi Mimikyu keeping its Japanese name is cool, but Bewear is the most adorable name for the red panda

Mimiku's ability sounds crazy awesome. Depending on access to priority or status moves he could be really clutch. Being able to switch in and take zero damage is pretty fricking boss. from the site; Wimpod has the new Wimp Out Ability, an Ability that no other Pokémon has had before. With the Wimp Out Ability, if this Pokémon’s HP drops below half in battle, it will run away or swap out for another Pokémon. Mimikyu has the Disguise Ability, a new Ability that no Pokémon has ever before possessed. The Disguise Ability allows it to escape damage from an enemy’s attack just one time, and then its appearance changes. Mudsdale can have the new Stamina Ability, an Ability that no other Pokémon has had before. With the Stamina Ability, this Pokémon’s Defense goes up by 1 when it’s hit by an attack. Comfey can have the new Triage Ability, an Ability that no other Pokémon has had before. With the Triage Ability, this Pokémon’s restorative moves gain the highest priority in battle. Bewear may have the Fluffy Ability, a new Ability that no Pokémon has ever possessed before. The Fluffy Ability halves the damage taken from attacks that make direct contact, but in return it also doubles the damage taken from Fire-type moves.
