you can get into it from the spin (never do the spin) but the main way is the x-x-x combo chain if they havent changed anything. pound-pound-golf swing

try a weapon you like, but bear in mind that greatsword and to a lesser extent charge blade might not be ideal for a newbie. when you find a weapon type you feel confident with, look up gaijin hunter's video about it, because styles affect your moveset in various ways that the game does an AWFUL job of explaining.

monster hunter 3 ultimate came out on wii u

would strongly recommend, it's the game that i first got to g rank in

(also if you have an n3ds you can use the analog nub as a second stick, it's not much but it's better than nothing)
