Neverwinter is a cash shop grind fest MMO with some interesting gameplay that's probably worth raising a character for to play through the main story, but the post game mindless grind and the constant nerfs to any playstyle people find that's not part of their vision make it very hard to recommend to stick with it. RIP Holy Laserpriest.

If you're a D&D nerd its worth at least checking out IMO because it plays a little like the 4e game everyone always wanted, its just trapped inside a fairly unimpressive f2p MMO wrapper. IDK if its on the console versions or not, but when I played the PC version the best part was actually the toolset where people could make their own little self contained adventure modules, the good ones were a million times more interesting than anything I saw in the actual game. If you want an actual good PS4 MMO the only choice is still paying for FF14 though.

I'm confused. Some of my ps+ games aren't registering an expiration date for their play time, and my + expires in a day. Will they still be playable after it expires?

i have the same thing on some games. i think it was always when a crossbuy ps+ game got a version added later. i havent let my + lapse to see if you actually keep them or not though

I think those are games that are trials with unlock keys, so once your ps+ expires they will still be playable as trials but not full games.

Hey, is there any reason why the PS4 might be telling me to "delete unnecessary content" when I have more than enough space to download a thing? I'm trying to install Infamous: Second Light, and it's only 8 gigs, and I've got almost 30 free.

The PS4 for some reason goes really out of its way to avoid falling below 40-ish gigs of free space, and will generally claim there isn't enough free space to install a thing and still have 40+ gigs free afterwards.

I have that issue too, needing to clear way more space then necessary to get games to download. I also have issues with the free maps on Battlefield 4, when I try select their play list, it takes me to the playstation store only for it to show I already downloaded it. I wonder if I need to delete them all and download them again. I also get issues of not being able to record video, even though I have more enough space. Regarding TLoU. While its fun there are some jarring gameplay issues. Such as Such as Ellie and Tess being seemingly invisable to the infected and enemy humans, sometimes even pushing them aside as they sneak around with me. The only time they get attacked is if the infected is already spotted me. Of course this helps prevent the game from becoming an annoying escort mission, but also takes away from the tension knowing I only really need to think about my self.

Real hurthling! posted:does it let you record video into that space? i.e. is it just a download reserve or a system wide reserve? It's definitely some sort of weird soft limit, I don't think it prevents you from saving your game or generating pictures/video, it just starts refusing to install new titles and patches until you delete something.

That was their effort to avoid worse gameplay issues. It's more of a narrative issue than a gameplay one. They recently employed a better shared cover system with Uncharted 4, so maybe it was limitations. I can't think of many games that don't have any sort of ludonarrative dissonance.

I also get it is a tricky issue. Escort quests are often the bane of any game, and aside from literally hiding your presidents daughter in a box ala resident evil 4, there isn't alot you can do. It would be a chore if your companion kept on triggering aggro with everything because she sneaks after you move. Ellie is fun to have around though, I like her comments about stuff and if I do a sick takedown on someone "Holy poo poo Joel!"
