Greetings, adventurers!

Thanks for all the feedback related to The Palace of the Dead.

We're seeing a lot of comments requesting that aetherpool equipment be able to improve in the earlier floors so that they can benefit from running the early levels again, or when playing with new players.

As such, we're planning to make the following adjustments in a future update:
Aetherpool equipment will have a higher chance of receiving an upgrade upon opening silver coffers in earlier floors.
Aetherpool equipment will be strengthened upon defeating the boss on the 50th floor.
We're continuing to gather your feedback and pass it along to the team so please continue exploring the depths of this dungeon, and share any additional feedback you may have.

Yeah, but sometimes the devs miss really obvious stuff like that. They were probably thinking of the experience as a whole and were going to add aetherpool upgrades on level 100 or something dumb like that.

I mentioned it in game, but if they're looking to make cul spec relevant, one of the new 60**** recipes should be a food that increases your overmeld odds. Not only will it drive people to the class, it will also remove a stream of Vs from the server since more people would get ballsy enough to attempt overmelds

This is pretty great, I'm stuck at 11/10 at the moment, had to start my second save slot since you apparently need 12/12 to do 41-50.

Considering how quickly you can already get the i235 weapon as it stands, they'll be popping up like candy depending on how heavy handed they get in the adjustments.

Chocobo race challenges amount to like 400k, but you will have to breed some chocobos to be able to actually win those I think. Beyond that, yeah, challenge log every week. It's like 100k now? Definitely not too bad to get a million anymore.

So i came across the Vath and did a couple quests for them, enough to reach the second rank. Upon completion of the quest neccessary to reach rank 2, it said something about the need to have done a certain story quest before i can do the next rank progress quest. Can anyone tell me which one that is? How far do i have to be in MSQ for rank 3?

Also, do i need these fake gil coins for anything valuable

You have to defeat Ravana. If you've progressed far enough to unlock the Vath quests, it shouldn't be much further.

I would also like to emphasize that you should always be doing main story quests to avoid this sort of thing.

Oh nice, Ravana is down already (I'm currently supposed to call Hraelvagr or whatever his name was), so i can slack a little more on that front.

edit: MSQ is on indefinite hiatus since i found out that i'm about as garbage at chocobo racing as i am at triple triad and can't win a race for the life of me. So the only way left is to grind the logging minigame. If you've got decent twitch reflexes and don't take a chance when you're down to 16-17 seconds, you can make 400-500 MGP per minute.

Getting that mount is only going to take me about 35 straight hours of grinding.

My only issue with a recipe like this is that it's going to forever be there in the system. Like how Tinker's Calm is forever a 50***(*?) potion, and Bacon Broth is forever a 50***(*?), this food will forever be set at that difficulty. Furthermore, as we've seen in the past, things that once were Specialist required (Looking at you, Kingcake or whatever the gently caress it's called for Culinarian) now no longer require that specialization.

It's a nice idea, don't get me wrong, but I feel like it opens up the door to abusability as other classes clamor (eyeballing Alchemist in particular) for their own version of Gambler's Cake.

4 star ARR recipes are trivial at level 60. What are you even going on about?
