Corellian Conflict Campaign teaser was just shown. The campaign looks pretty interesting, but will likely take a pretty long to me to play through. Also adds new objective cards, and new squadron cards for use with Wave 1 squadrons. Just looking at the numbers and the spoiled cards, looks like each squadron type will get 2 new cards, a unique pilot with tokens and an ability, and a unique squadron that changes up the keyword abilities it gets.

One of the spoiled cards was Rogue Squadron. A 14 point unique X-Wing that trades escort for Rogue. Also Black Squadron was spoiled. A 9 point unique TIE Fighter that loses swarm, but picks up escort and counter 1. Neither is spectacular, but I can see a potential use for them, especially since they are only a 1 point premium.

Black Squadron is really good. A cheap source of Escort/Counter for Imps is nice, especially with Howlie/Dengar around.

There's also this, showing Shara Bey in an A Wing and Dagger Squadron B's, with I think Rogue as a keyword.

Yeah that's a hard sell for something that's just all paper/some cardboard. I thought the point of not including models was to cut down on the cost of things. Unless this is like some RPG handbook size mission book or something.

Well it seems to be aimed at 2v2 or 3v3 games, so if you chip in with a friend it is more manageable. Then again, 12 more objective cards and 16 squadron cards you can use against opponents who don't have them might be pretty good.

And from reddit:

The whole point of this is the campaign. FFG just threw in the mission cards and squadrons to force tourney players to buy it. A lot of people at my FLGS are excited by the campaign, and would probably buy it without those extra cards. Like most of the expansions, if you are not playing in a tournament, there is nothing to keep you from proxying the new cards.

The CSS-1 engines are in a triangle formation and are much larger in proportion to the ship.

The Arquitens / Imperial Light Cruiser features heavily in Rebels and fills a big vacancy as a small base in the Imperial line up, I'm 100% positive that's what it is

It'd be nice to have an imperial small base ship that's a little more useful than the raider. I've never has much luck flying those. I think the CR90 has more interesting cards

Is Demolisher running rampant nowadays? I haven't kept up with regionals/nations like I have for Xwing, so no idea what the meta is. Not denying that it's formidable, but just curious if the thing is still everywhere like it was.

A Very Popular Thing To Do is run Demolisher with Engine Techs alongside a raider swarm. Bid low so you can go first, pick your target, double tap it and run the hell away. Congratulations, you win!

Would be interesting, would you still want the 6 turns and for it to just be a death match? Or no turn limit at all?

Personally I hate the tension between giving your ships fun toys or actually getting neat squadrons that can do things.

Honestly I think squadrons could've used the ability to operate further out without Rhymer because they end up having to get way too close together and the clicking stuff on the fighter bases is insanely difficult to use when everything is that close.

Something to balance out activations beyond flotillas, to make non swarmy builds better would be great, but I don't know how other than doing something like a firing phase and a movement phase like Xwing and that's a radical change. Though I wouldn't be opposed to it.

What kind of lists would you all be putting together with the new waves hitting stores? There are some cool lists but kind of going to just buy one of each so some of the cooler multi-flotilla lists are probably out of bounds for me at the moment.

Anyone have any pictures of painted ships in bizarre, garish colors? I'd like to buy some models but what's put me off is that it doesn't seem like you can do that with large ships the same way you could with fighter pilot jockeys but it's my preferred painting style. The old greys + weathering patterns always seemed boring to me. Reds/golds/blacks worked in 40k's battle fleet gothic because the architecture was there, but you don't exactly have giant cathedrals and huge prows on star wars ships.
