the punchline is apparently the back half of the movie was based off the latest ln stuff, while the recap just covered up to where the anime ended in other words, they were still completely lost

okay, the black forest dungeon in shadow hearts 2 is really bad and i'm not going to do it it's kind of funny that they show the party just ignoring the flower at the beginning explaining the annoying dungeon gimmick but it's less fun that you actually do have to adhere to that dungeon gimmick, which even doing that keeps sending me back to the beginning of the dungeon for some loving reason!!! plus, it reuses the same environments throughout the whole area and the random encounters are pretty much the worst part

It's a pretty clever word puzzle but the translation is a little wonk and it's hard to know when to talk to/listen to the black flower and when not to.

The black flower will send you back to the start of the dungeon until you hit the midway point of the dungeon, where it will instead send you to the dungeon's boss - because the fastest way out is the other side of the forest, where the boss is. If you listen to the white flower line-by-line, you get a game over. i get that, but for some reason following a white flower's advice at one point just led to me getting sent back, and the same kept happening whenever i got back to the first yellow flower, even after talking to the blue one next to it

ack. the guy in lucia's fight got two turns in a row and i died, and i'm not really liking the quest enough to want to try again, even if i could probably manage it with a replacement man oh well, i feel like i've spent enough time on side content and i'm satisfied enough with it as is.
