I actually got tired of this because it overrode the way better battle themes In a perfect world, there would be a low health version for every song, I would also be willing to accept it only playing in important battles or pinch moments

i played through hg over the past few weeks and the only times i had to grind were claire/lance/red. although i only used murkrow/heracross/elekid/espeon/dunsparce/feraligator for pretty much the whole run. also i stole kenya and shuckie

I just ordered a New 3DS XL, which eliminates my problem with the original 3DS (tiny screen, tiny handheld) so I plan on finishing up my Pokedex in X then maybe grabbing Alpha Sapphire for nostalgia before Sun/Moon come out. It's been a few years since I used the transfer app; can you still only transfer one box at a time or was that a restriction when moving from Black/White? I'd like to just transfer everything to Alpha when I get it then to one of the new games but if everything is a box at a time, screw that. Can I just transfer everything to the app to hang out until I can transfer to Sun/Moon without a chance of losing things? I've got some dudes that I've had since Sapphire sitting on my X cart now.

Its kind of an issue, but this thread's meme is to blow it up to comic proportions. Really, the issue is that there are a ton of trainers tucked in optional/hard to reach places (there are a ton scattered through the lower areas of Dark Cave, for instance, that scale in level to where you are in the story when you can absolutely first access them) and most people don't fight them because they're way the gently caress out of the way so they end up underleveled. If you do fight them it really isn't an issue until you're about to fight Red. And even then, the Elite 4 give decent enough experience to level your dudes to the mid-sixties/low-seventies which will wreck him even with suboptimal pokes.

Pokeman go has gotten me in the Pokemon mood, so right now I'm playing Pokemion Black since I have it and White 2 but never really played them. Gen 5 really does have the best music. I was considering getting OR\AS because I never played that gen either, but it's still $40 and Sun\Moon is coming soon. I'm not a huge Pokemon fan and basically skipped Gens 3-5. I did get Diamond, but never beat it. My friends were getting it, but then they didn't feel like battling, so I was like "what's the point then?" I was also bad and put a rom w/ genned Pokemon saves on my R4 cart, traded them to my copy of black, then used the Pokemon Bank to put them in Y.

I actually don't like D/P/Pt's music that much, but Mt. Coronet is one of my favorite location themes, even the HG/SS remix which has a nice medley of music from those games.
