My office is in the front room of a run-down 12 megapixel sensor but the rent suits me and the landlord doesn't ask many questions.

Never argue with stupid people, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
I am failing at getting these linked in here. But if you want to maybe feel a little better about your self you can check out the sample album below. Dude is pretty popular around here, has had a physical store\studio location for a long time. I just don't get it. His editing is..... its.. I am not sure how to describe it. But like I said, hes very popular around these parts and friends have told me his weddings start at $1500.

On a phone this might be hard to see, but look about 6in above his head down to below his knees....

I really wish SLRs had a feature where it could detect that it was taking a picture of a mirror with the user making a deep and emotional expression, then detonate the battery on the spot.

They look hungry and the babbie looks really bummed out about his genetics.

All these wonderful photos makes me wonder if we should have a big show in LA/New York where we display the best photos we found. Like a massive archive of only the best photos meticulously selected from flickr for the general public and art connoisseurs to enjoy. We then make a documentary about the process of selection, the personal stories of some of the standout artists, the reaction of the public, and the libel lawsuits

flickr is pretty unique for the internet, you can be obsessed over any obscure thing and it's a guarantee there's someone else out there posting pictures with the same obsession. The really unique bit though is that these all co-exist without ever really encountering each other so you don't even get the raging flamewars that pop up on places like facebook or youtube.

I just hate seeing anything go to waste.
I think we should encourage autists to openly and candidly share their weirdo hobbies with others because the ones that don't are scary af.

Malcom Gladwell posted:

The idea that people with autism-spectrum disorders can stumble into patterns of serious criminality has a name: counterfeit deviance. It has long been an issue in cases involving A.S.D. teen-agers and child pornography. “They are intellectually intact people, with good computer skills but extraordinary brain-based naïveté, acting in social isolation, compulsively pursuing interests which often unknowingly take them into forbidden territory,” the lawyer Mark J. Mahoney writes in a recent paper. They come upon an online image that appeals to their immature sexuality and don’t understand its social and legal implications. The image might be “marked” for the rest of us, because the child is in some kind of distress. But those kinds of emotional signals are precisely what A.S.D. teen-agers struggle to understand. They start to obsessively collect similar images, not out of some twisted sexual urge but simply because that’s the way their curiosity is configured. What gets these young adults into trouble with the law “is not abnormal sexual desires,” Mahoney writes, “but their tendency to express or pursue normal interests in a manner outside social conventions.”

I think the point is it's not the subject that matters, it's the execution. At least the goon gas station squad put effort into a pleasant exposure, unlike mr bus that leaves his camera on auto and uploads four thousand photos with absolutely zero growth between the first image and the newest one.
