Hey, all! Well, we do have a birthday this week so we're not quite back to the normal routine (my niece turns 4 on Friday, so we're moving Rune Factory 3 to Saturday), but close! Ben and I are streaming Darkest Dungeon, and we finally got Vvulf to show his face, so first up is dealing with him. After that, it's switching to Dragon's Dogma and doing the "Water Temple" quest (fortunately, you can't fail that one like I did the Shadow Fort  ), and then the Catacombs if we have time. Come on by!Quite a few things up on YouTube over the weekend, too: FF2 and RCR are starting up, plus the usual suspects of Darkest Dungeon and Rune Factory 3. Edit: Done! Vvulf fight was a loss, we lost Mog and HUNK.  Dragon's Dogma went pretty well, though. We wrapped up the Wyrm Hunt quests, so next time we'll be meeting the Duke!

I've been seeing a few people use Beam here and there. I can see that it offers low delay, but is there anything else I should know about it? Does it let you download your streams after the fact?

Beyond that it's another competitor to Twitch, it has a few unique features: -Beam has a levelup system (which doesn't mean anything except numbers on a screen) and a points system. The points can't be used for much right now other than activating soundboards and some other gimmicks, but apparently Beam are wanting to do more with these systems. -Beam has an application which will allow for viewers to remotely control your game, allowing you to create a Twitch Plays Pokemon-like channel/stream. -Beam has its own optional streaming client called Tachyon. Tachyon allows you to stream using FTL encoding to Beam, which can reduce the delay down to less than a second at best, and 2 seconds at worst. However, this feature is still in alpha, so it's not entirely stable.

It currently seems stable enough but only time will tell if that will stay the case.

Whew, lots going on today, sorry for the late start! Ben's taking a break tonight, so we're going to jump straight to the Final Fantasy 2. Last time we lost the twins and were on the way to Cave Magnes with Team Manly Men and Old Men (and in Cid's case, Manly Old Men). In my opinion this and the following dungeon are the hardest parts of the game, so... yeah! Let's see how it goes! Edit: Done! Absolutely breezed that Cave Magnes, pretty good runthrough Tower of Zot... then the Calcabrena fight dragged on. Ah well. Picking up right at the start of Tower of Babil next week! Rune Factory is moved to Saturday afternoon instead of Friday evening this week too, as a heads-up.
