Sprint time is a factor of agility and endurance, the more you have the longer you can sprint. With an agility of 10 and an endurance of 17 (10 + 3 more from armor + 2 from the solar powered perk plus 2 from buffout), I can sprint from the workbench in sanctuary all the way to the concord museum, and still have about 5% of my action points left. I think with more points in each from bobbleheads and other drugs, and if you actually levelled up to 44 and got the 3rd rank of moving target which cuts the AP drain in half, you could probably sprint halfway across the map.

I just started. Pretty impressed with the size of the building area. I'm only a couple of missions in, but I can't find any new construction options apart from a couple in the special category like the exercise bike and the overseer desk. Are the other things unlocked by doing missions, or are they not visible to me because of the usual problem of new DLC messing up the settlement menu mods?

Azhais posted:Slap in the loot overhaul while you're at it then! I've been doing this weird thing where I've installed a relatively conservative (about two dozen) list of mods and have only returned to the game to update the mods after each DLC is released. I haven't actually played the game since Automatron came out, but the Loot Overhaul has been a long-standing plugin in my load order because I love some degree of scrounging and scarcity. Does this mod still hold up and/or work? I notice that the dude hasn't updated it since late December, with the Nexus mod page saying something about "pre-production on an initial CK version" over two months ago--seems like that's not such a problem for the "tinkering" contraptions DLC, but could be an issue for places like Far Harbor, where item scarcity might be completely out of whack with the vanilla worldspace. Is this the case?

Couple others show up as experiments too, they show up under Resources-Vault once you're done with the prototype. Looks like the basic functionality of all of them depends on your choices. There's a Slot Machine that generates revenue, generates happiness but costs money to build because it pays out more than it takes in, and a mind reading one that acts as a sort of middle ground. Naturally this overseer is a dick like the rest and is only happy if you choose the more sadistic options. I notice that the resource costs of the machines differ based on what you make from them too. For example, the bicycle generator that drugs its occupant requires Buffout to build, haha. The Slot Machine is probably pretty useful for generating cash if you don't feel like making Stores everywhere, especially since stores have to be staffed and slot machines don't. All the experimental devices also give you a Special boost when you use them. Endurance for the bike, and so on.

Is there a good guide for the DLC and great mods to use? (also good cheat for building materials as they're PIA to collect) I remember playing this for dozen of hours at the release and I'm looking to giving it an another go. I've been replaying New Vegas as I've been moving, and my terrible laptop can't run FO4, but NV works just fine! It occurred to me there are similar story beats. Fallout 4: Game starts with your [EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT SPOUSE] being shot You eventually track down the man who shot them -If you drugged up an old lady, you can get his robots to turn on him, then kill him -You can say a variant of 'gently caress YOU' and kill him New Vegas: Game starts with you getting shot in the head and surviving in what is basically a pre-industrial surgery somehow You eventually track down the man who shot you, but your weapons are confiscated upon entering the area where he is -You can say a variant of 'gently caress you' and kill him where he stands, angering the faction associated with him, using your bare hands -You can break into the casino's bank, retrieving your weapons, and smugly tell him you did EXACTLY THAT, then kill him -You can talk to him, and he agrees to meet you in the presidential suite, THEN -He double-crosses you and sends assassins, OR -With a speech check over the intercom, you convince him you won't pursue him and he won't send assassins and will flee, OR -With a speech cheek over the intercom, you convince him to come anyway and meet face to face, THEN -When he comes to the room, you can agree to work with him and forgive him, OR -You kill him -If you're playing a female character with the Black Widow perk, you can seduce him, and he hurries to his room, THEN -You can kill him as soon as you're in his room, OR -You can sleep with him, then kill him during his post-coital nap, OR -You can sleep with him, then wake to find out he's fled -You can speak to his 2IC, Swank, THEN -If you present at least two pieces of evidence that Benny's making a play for power (Which can be found in Goodsprings, Novac, and Boulder City), or you can pass some Speech checks. Then Swank gives you his blessing to kill Benny, who returns your weapons . THEN -You can kill Benny and his four loyal guards on the casino floor, OR -Swank can lure Benny to his room, where you can be waiting for him -You can speak to Benny and leave without killing him, upon which he will flee The Strip If you didn't kill Benny at the Casino, he ends up captured by Caeser's Legion. From there, you: -Can walk in and kill him, angering Caeser's Legion, OR -Have him crucified by the Legion, OR -If you're male, you can have him fight you to the death in a makeshift arena, with only machetes. I enjoy killing the Friends cast member, Benny. Clawtopsy fucked around with this message at 14:17 on Jul 26, 2016 |

Apparently that cool rear end queen sized bed that was in the vault-tec leak album wasn't actually in the real dlc, but we did get another twin sized mattress! Bethesda was even gracious enough to let us have sheets on this one! I guess my hopes of ever having a decent looking bed are pretty much gone until Bethesda releases mods on PS4, if they ever do.
